The name of the mod is "UnknownRegionsAdventures" if by anychance you didnt know.
I guess the code should be the same for everyone

Unfortunately, I have no idea what else could be happening, then. This isn't a solution, but I guess you could verify if the mod folder for the game at least exists. It should be located in:
(your Steam installation)\steamapps\workshop\content\233860
If no addons you subscribe to ever show up here (as folders named after their workshop URL numbers), then something is certainly wrong, I just don't know what.
Yes, subscribing should make it download immediately, and update when possible. Is Steam perhaps pausing downloads when you have a game open? Otherwise, sometimes unsubscribing and re-subscribing fixes it.
Obviously you also need the Steam copy of the game installed, but that’s obvious.
