Kuvaus
This is a version of Lrds' A Spouse Designer updated for 1.13.2.* and later.

Presently this is a work in progress, so some crashes may happen and their may be errors reported in the error.log. Please let me know about such.

There's a decent chance it won't work in languages other than English because I haven't finished updating the localisation yet.

This is a standalone mod rather than a patch since nearly all files are modified. It is almost certainly not compatable with patches for the previous version (Paradox made some significant changes to the GUI as well as adding the additional engine level checks that cause the game to crash if they are failed in 1.6.1* ). Please do not update your Compatches until this is actually finished.

Ruler Designer Safe Genes Unlocked which unlocks for editing some of the genes that are not available in the base Ruler Designer.

Special Genetifc Traits - Which adds traits that allow for use of some of the special genes that I did not unlock for editing in the Ruler Designer (because they weren't intended for direct use) and fixes a common issue with directly using them.

Sub Mods
A Spouse Designer for 1.13.* - Nudity Toggle - Allows you to disable the nightgown in Ruler Designer (with the same restrictions as the Natural Primitivism tenet) so that you can have a better idea of the character's full appearance. Note that this mod cannot respect the in-game nudity setting due to the way Paradox implemented it, so please do not have it installed if you wish for their to be no nudity).

FAQs:

1: How do I Edit Characters after Game Start:
Set the Spouse Designer: Designer After Game Start rule to Enabled before you start.
2: Where is the option to Edit my Spouse/Child/Etc ?

b) Please see the Screen Shots for this mod, which show starting from the Starting Screen where all Edit Options are for a New Game and for a Game In Progress.

Known Incompatibilities:
Ruler Designer Unlocked does not work with this, use the game rules provided by this mod instead.
EPE is definitely incompatible with Safe Genes Unlocked and probably incompatible with Spouse Designer (for EPE versions targeted at 1.12 and later).

As of 1.13 the following mods require Compatibility Patches ( which do not currently exist) to work with this:
Better Ruler Designer
Any Mod mod that makes use of the different species genes / animations mechanism introduced in 1.13:
Elf Destiny is definitely incompatible.
AGOT, Elder Scrools and LotR:RiE are probably incompatible


*1.9 changed the ruler_designer completion function to account for Diarchs and the Haji doctrine, as well as introduced scriptint syntax changes, this mod isn't backwards compatible before 1.9 (though you can see the Github for a version compatible wiht 1.8)
*1.13 changed the ruler_designer completion function to account for creating adventurers (as well as numerous other changes ) - This mod is not backwards compatible before 1.13
*1.13.1 made an incompatible change to multiplayer_types to allow for Adventurers to start in a Theocracries/Republics - This mod is not backwards compatble before 1.13.1.*

To Do:
- Fix some post editing stuff for Spouses/Children that doesn't account for the possibility of matrilineal marriages / same sex marriages.
- Clean up Selected Character Display (fix Overlap of Difficulties / Difficulty / Family Info / Spouse Info )
- Prevent Edited Spouse/ Children that are illegal (invalid marriages or children too old) in the Ruler Designer window. (Also: Block or Convert Too young spouses to Betrothal, depending on which works better)
- Allow for creation of Betrothed for children (maybe?, need to check how the game handles that)
- Option to preserve Dynasty
- Option to preserve Relationships (relatives, friends/rivals , soulmates/lovers (if valid), Court + Council positions / Employment. etc )
- Consider what is Invisible vs what is Disabled.
- Tooltips to explain disabled stuff (?)
- Finish localisation for supported non-English language

- Made mod more compatible (should solve AGOT created family problems). This may cause weird behaviour in other mods that alter on_ruler_designer_finished and a) don't just override on_action/ruler_designer.txt and b) aren't written for compatibility. Hopefully that's a pretty limited set.
-Fixed a bug where a 2nd child created with the Add Child button would incorrectly have their age to 0, causing all subsequent children to also have age 0. (Thanks shay)

Okay, what I'm going to do is make having Spouse Designer available in Multiplayer a Game Rule thing and call it Experimental, I dunno how well it'll work if people take turns and don't try and select characters / edit ta the same time but hopefully okay ? Really wish there was some kinda writable scratch pad.

The Landed vs Landless button layout is backwards in Multiplayer vs Singeplayer too. I hate it so much.

Oh god this is worse than I thought, a good chunk of the interface is duplicated for Multiplayer vs Singleplayer but the Singleplayer stuff is defined in the type definitions and the Multiplayer stuff is done as overrides to the type in a different file using the type. Why (???????????). This probably explains why stuff looks squished sometimes too, if my checks fail wrong you'd get doubles of some things which there absolutely isn't enough screen space for.

Hmm. No it is loading properly, just seems like there's something weird going on with the buttons that I'm not understanding. Bleargh, I hate GUI modding in this game.

Don't suppose there's anyone familiar with Multiplayer GUI modding reading this ?

I was tinkering around to try and fix the Multiplayer thing and now for some reason multiplayer_types.gui loads and overrides the base game in Single Player but the game seems to load the base game multiplayer_types.gui when I try and Host A game. The checksum shows as modified but no mods are listed as enabled, however Spouse Designer shows up in the game rules.

This makes approximately -500% sense.

Definitely going to need a Screenshot, could you upload it to steam gallery and share maybe ? I've looked into this closely now and it manifests significantly differently for me. For me the family window just doesn't become visible in multiplayer (still needs fixing ) but the Multiplayer stuff doesn't get squished. I'll see about fixing the missing family window in multplayer tho. I legit don't understand what the heck is happening there.
