Welcome back to the Better Battles mod, now updated for compatibility with Update 1.8 - "Robe"!

After a period of downtime, Better Battles is back, and better than ever. With the future looking bright and productive, expect frequent updates to give your game a whole lot more battlefield bang for your buck.

Warfare, Reinvigorated.
Better Battles is a mod that adds a variety of new combat-enriching events that will make your character's involvement in commanding their armies more interesting and exciting.

Ranging from battlefield duels to organizing sieges, Better Battles makes the game's strategic gameplay more interesting through some flavourful events and important choices.

This mod will only have impact on the game for the player when they are commanding an army in battle or in a siege. There is not a guaranteed chance of an event happening every combat or siege, to prevent the mod completely interrupting the game during wars.


UPDATE 1.2.2 IS NOW LIVE
  • Updated the mod for compatibility with game version 1.8!
  • Changed the mod's name from "Better Battles - Castle Edition" to "Better Battles - Robe Update" to match the new game version
  • Zapped some small bugs
  • Added development framework for raid events, expanded siege events, and much more!
  • Added compatibiliity for game version 1.7+

This mod ain't even loading at my in-game playset...Have tried to sub-unsub dozens of times in here, but it aint working...Meanwhile I'll keep the "Better Battles Updated:-mod (which I was already using), and keep playin at the 1.17.1-version of the game currently...But it would be nice to use this mod instead, IF it is fixed!... :-/

Historical battles were very risky for a king. Many kings during the dark ages met violent ends. However this mod makes it so dangerous it's stupid to even risk using your king as a general...
Other then that it's actually a great mod that makes the game more exciting.

yep, this mod is unplayable since you'll be fighting a tiny army of 100 leves and somehow your character ends up on the front line and dies
