Q n A

How do I back up my Shipworld File?
==============================
  1. Play Starbound with the character's ship you want to back up.
  2. Close Starbound.
  3. Right–click Starbound in your Steam library.
  4. Click properties -> Local Files Tab -> Browse Local Files
  5. Open the following folders -> Storage -> player
  6. Right click on the white space without selecting a file then select Sort by -> Date Modified in the dropdown menu.
  7. Create a new folder.
  8. Copy the top file that ends in “.shipworld” into that new folder.

How do I get the BYO capsule on my save file?
==============================
Back up your ship world for the character you want to give the capsule to as described in the last section – but move the .shipworld file to the new folder instead of copying it. Make sure you get all the stuff you want to bring with you off your ship before doing this.
  1. Ensure all items that you want to keep are removed from your ship.
  2. Exit Starbound.
  3. Delete the .shipworld file that you just made a backup for.
  4. Reload Starbound and log on as your character.
  5. Congratulations! You now have custom life pod!

well I have an issue where the character just starts falling as soon as it spawns on the ship, like the spawn location is not aligned with the capsule

So... it's been over 2 years, and there's more races now, including AgentKirin's Limako, that aren't supported by this mod. I mean, you could technically update this mod in particular to add support for the new races... or make a universal patch mod that uses some additional functions from OpenStarbound to have this mod work for any race no matter how vague, recent, or old they are. Just want to bring this up because I was testing this mod in the pack I'm working on.

Does this mod allow you to choose between conventional and capsule ships on character creation, or does it simply replace ships with capsules entirely?
Prototypical 15. bře. 2024 v 11.36
Likely as a reupload once I have things finished and working, Should ideally have all the support this version does, plus some that I've seen requests for that aren't added yet.
Dym0niter 15. bře. 2024 v 7.29
@64 will the fixed version be a re-upload or have you been given permission to maintain this one?
Prototypical 14. bře. 2024 v 23.34
@Dym0niter Been on/off working on the new version of this, the woggle issue SHOULD be fixed (mod was trying to call for objects that didn't exist, oops)
If there's any other known issues I'll gladly look at them while I'm at this

I'd been planning to just use an unpacked version of the workshop release, but this might also be useful, thanks!

Could I get permission to reupload and/or maintain this?
Would like to see about adding unaccounted for support as well as see if I can't find the source of (and fix) the below issue. Thanks!

If they weren't supported at all you'd just load in with a vanilla ship?
What sounds more likely is a sloppy ctrl+h job by the dev or something about Erchius Crystal Module is fucking up somewhere.
