Hyperspace Jump (Homeworld)

Opis
Homeworld-style jump effect. Triggers on jump and supports subgrids


Controls

The effect will automatically play when a ship jumps.

If the effect spawns in the wrong direction, make sure your cockpit is marked as "Main Cockpit"


The color can be configured in the custom data of a jump drive, eg:

color=255,0,255,255;

(Red, Green, Blue, Alpha)

There needs to be a ";" after the color for it to work.

I was wondering if you had some free time to go over how this mod works in detail. Im wanting to make a mod based off this one and i was wanting to understand yours better

hey found a minor error in the log for your mod nothing big that could cause a crash but the error will be listed every time its used

Hyperspace Jump (Homeworld) defines 3D sounds that are stereo (must be mono for 3D). That’s a known crash trigger when those sounds initialize/play.
→ Example lines: “must be in mono, got 2 channels.”

could you assist with making a warp using this feature?, theres a warp from a show that works like this, its jus the wrong shape and colour from it

main cockpit will affect how the window will form as well, it orients itself off of the main cockpit

...Jump Window seems to...develop 90 degrees left from forward...and it still allows the normal jump animation to run, for me... but i'mma double check my modlist before confirming the animation thingy

also big problem, that effect works with big frame, with small ones, that come to each ship block, u can't pain em ther always blue, like on screenshot

with proto it works, but if u have scripts etc, it will ruin it after 1 jump, cuz recreate ship block by block

I assume it adjusts to the size of your ship, but if there is a "too big" I just assume it looks scuffed
