Newest Mod: Voting Systems+

MOD UPDATE
Recently I switched computers and due to file locations getting all screwed up, I have been experiencing difficulties with updating this mod. While I am working on solving the problem and getting to the point where I can update it again, I am going to be performing some rebalancing as well as adding additional content to flesh out systems that I had created previously (such as the "Global Influence" mechanic or the international conflict system).

As a result of working as a counselor for people with serious and persistent mental illness, I often come home with an amount of energy that can only push me far enough to eat some Taco Bell and watch a horror movie. This update will definitely be released at some point, but I have a high standard of quality and want to ensure that it lives up to it. Please bear with me so that I can release the most badass mod that I'm capable of <3

Until then, I'll try to release occasional mods to either test a new mechanic or add to a new DLC. This mod will also stay up for use in case you do want to use it. Keep in mind, there will likely be some jenk due to not being updated in-line with the current version of the game.

Thank you for all your support and your understanding on why these updates are taking so long! This is a great community to be a part of.

Yeah, that post is faulty in many ways, the post maker talks about a geolocation spoofer that doesn't work and doesn't send the geolocation to anyone/anything.

I don't see any real reason for concern, I've had the mod since around ~2021 or longer, no issues.

I think he's referring to the discussion about how there's malware coding with geolocation and such.

I just got the game a week ago, have loved every second of it, and this mod was gonna be the first I added, but I'm definitely wary of seeing code that has potential malware.

@Hari Seldon, Not the author but can tell you that the mod does work perfectly fine, it should also work well with other mods like D4 Overhaul & Expansion, there could be some slight overlap here and there but nothing that would cause it to be unplayable.

@Saint, I'm very doubtful any of the mod's files contain anything malicious. My guess is that possibly it's from any conversions from png, jpg, etc, to svg. Not sure, again, doubtful it's malicious.

If you were able to dig up some code, can you share what files you found said code and possibly the actual code?

Why do the SVG image files in this mod contain a hundred lines of JavaScript code? Seems a bit sketchy, seems to do something with geolocation. Mistake or malicious?

This mod is a complication of the mods from the author, at least at first, I believe it also has it's own features, you can check the other mods included in this one to get a feel for the features, but if that's not enough, check it out yourself!
