[WOTC] Passive Icons Core Collection Edition

Kuvaus
What is this mod?
This was a 'cloned version' of my Passive Icons mod, stripping out any config options and gameplay changes.

This version has pretty much been rewritten, cleaned and optimized by Iridar for inclusion into the Core Collection

Includes icons for;
Stasis Vest, Hellweave Vest, Hazmat Vest, (Passive) Wall Phasing/Wraith, Mindshields, Medikits, NanoMedikits, SkullMine (Icon Swap), Low Visibility (Icon Swap), Melee Resistance (Icon Colour Swap), Sustaining Sphere (Icon Colour Swap), Holy Warrior (Icon Colour Swap) Icarus Vault (Icon Colour Swap), Ruler Armour Passive Panic

Includes icons for 'popular' mods;
For these mod added item icons I did not seek permission from the original mod creators, if any mod creator wishes for me to remove a passive icon for your item please let me know.
On a similar note if anyone has a mod added item that grants a passive ability/immunity that does not have an icon, please let me know and I'll try to add one in.

ADVENT Drones Anti-Stun Vest, Flame Viper Vest, Valentines Viper Vest, Bio Division 2.0 Vests, BioMedikits, CX Frost Vest, CX Wraith Vest, Bitterfrost Protocols Frostweave, Advanced Mindshield, Refraction Fields Immunities, Metal over Flesh Shields (Icon Swap), GTS SPARK Perks Regeneration (Icon Swap), CX HIVE Wall Climb, Corrupt Avatar Phantom Vest, Microstim Implants.

Localizations for the passive display will use either the ability text or the item that grants the ability text.

Bonus Changes;
  • NONE

Compatibility;
Should work fine mid campaign, but maybe not mid-tactical.

Not be used with the original Passive Icons .

ADVENT Avengers Ability Tweaks will likely clash.

Bio Division 2.0 changes how Medikits work. Part of this change removes the immunity to poison they grant.

Armor & vest Config Replaces the original vests abilities with custom versions. This mod should find those abilities and still display an icon.

Credits and Thanks to;

The XCOM2 modders discord for being a general awesome helpful bunch of people

Iridar for asking for this version to be made, specifically for inclusion into the Core Collection and for helping me to rewrite the mod from the ground up.

Source Items;
Based on Passive Icons & ADVENT Avengers Ability Tweaks Icons Section

See the discussion thread for all the other mod sources.

Does not cover equipped ammo as you can find that out by hovering on the weapon icon on the lower-right

So, not equipped ammo, right?

Thanks for looking into it! I'll relay it to the lwotc elders :)

After some searching I found out this item is re-purposed Plated Vest from base game. In base game it only gives an Armour Pip and HP Bonus, which makes it not required for this mod.
(In much the same way as other items that get skipped)

If I were to include the vest (for the purposes of LW changing it) then I would also need to include all the other items that also get skipped over for various reasons, so I would say this one is on LWotC to update the display as it adds changes that should be shown (crit defense)

Hey Rusty, is there any way you can include the Tactical Vest (from LWOTC)? Or something has to be done on the LWOTC side? Thanks!
You can look at the vest here https://www.ufopaedia.org/index.php?title=Equipment_(LWOTC)

Then there is a high chance you have some other mod removing them.
Unfortunately I have no idea what that could be.

Hm, I installed this one and got rid of the original, but I still don’t see them. :/

Thanks for the quick response! Is it safe to uninstall the original and install this during a campaign?

@zin
Either mod is fine, but obviously not both together. This mod (core collection edition) has slightly better/cleaner code and was remade from the ground up with help from Iridar. It does not do all the 'extra things' the original does (read the mod descriptions) . Personally I still use the original.

Both mods work fine alongside CBAC. If you are not seeing the extra passive icons for items in the lower left passives corner then it is possible another mod is interfering.

There was only one such mod that I knew of ( Armor & Vest Config ) but I long since thought I'd dealt with that particular issue.

I’m using this mod, which is similar: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1859762491

What is the difference? Also, the aforementioned mod does not work for me. I should note I use [WOTC] Cost-Based Ability Colors. Do you think that could be the conflict, and may this mod work instead? :)
