Rosie

This is one I am really proud of. I have no idea why.

Rosie is a tank engine (my version is a tender engine due to in-game restrictions) from Thomas & Friends. She first appeared in Season 10's 'Thomas and the Birthday Mail'. Rosie basically idolised Thomas, trying to copy his whistle and several other 'Thomas-isms' (if you will). She helped Thomas out of a landslide when the blue E2 was trying to deliver a trainload of letters and parcels.

Rosie has since been a recurring character, lasting well into the CGI-era of the show. One episode she had a particularly large role in was Season 12's 'Rosie's Funfair Special'. She was repainted in a sort-of burgundy livery prior to the start of Season 21. That's right, Season TWENTY-ONE. As of October 2018, Thomas & Friends is now in Season 22, and the TV show has been going since 1984.

In the TV show, Rosie is based on the United States Army Transportation Corps (USATC) S100 class. Some of these engines were brought to England, and used to help Thomas' real-life counterpart (the LB&SCR E2 class) on shunting duties at Southampton Docks. Both E2's and S100's would eventually be replaced by a class of diesel shunters known as the Class 07. The 07 has since served as the basis for the character Salty.
