I became a railfan when I was two years old. That was when my Mum bought me a Thomas Wooden Railway figure-eight set for my birthday.

My favourite steam locomotive is the New Zealand Railways JA class; a 4-8-2 tender engine of which 51 examples were built between 1946 and 1956. My favourite diesels and electrics are KiwiRail's DC and EF classes respectively.
