AutoMagic Collection ⦅Newest: Painter's Paradise⦆

The AutoMagic collection is a fan project to integrate automation and transformative magicks into the core gameplay of Staxel through episodic modpacks, without disrupting the in-game economy or immersion that come with vanilla Story Mode.

Each of the modpacks offers new items and features that are intended to link together, both with other mods in the collection and vanilla items, crafting, and quest updates as Staxel continues to grow. So please enjoy a look at what we've created in the collection for you so far!

- Unleash Your Painting Spirit: Our latest modpack is all about helping you bring a more colorful vision to your village! Colors and dyes have been a part of AutoMagic from the start, but we've hugely expanded the choices for blocks and styles this time.

Depending on your tastes, you can pick from any of 4 coloring techniques:

⊛ Paint Rollers apply colors right to the blocks, letting you repaint entire buildings without lifting a tile or disturbing a flower. To start, just dip a Fresh Paint Roller into any Paint Bucket to get 50 charges of that color.

⊛ Paint Buckets provide a steady supply of paint for your rollers, or you can use them with a Combining Table to repaint blocks more carefully. While it's a bit slow, you'll always run out of blocks to recolor before you run out of paint! If you toss in a bit of Magic Catalyst, you can even go water your crops while it paints for you.

⊛ Flower Petals can be crafted into paint, or you can dip blocks in the petal dyes at a Combining Table to repaint them really quickly. This will use up your petals over time though, so you'll need to collect more to keep recoloring blocks. Aliza's also whipped up a handy Color Guide for you in her store if you ever need a refresher on which petals combine to make each color for paints and dyes.

⊛ Aliza's Store has enjoyed a bit of unleashing too, so you can now find the whole library of color blocks available on its shelves--but painting has never really been Aliza's forte, so she might need a bit of help from an enterprising farmer friend to really unlock all its potential for the Building Store.

- Shiny Window Panes: A colorful house just wouldn't be complete with colorless windows, so we designed 11 new styles (plus an upgraded Ranch Window) to help you paint to perfection! With a bit of careful Carving, you can also turn any of them from decorative pieces into fully functional windows that let in the fresh air or shut out the rain.

In select cases, Ranch Windows or Ranch Doorframes may need to go through a quick refurbishing on the Combining Station before they'll be ready to repaint with rollers (to prevent accidental splinters)

- Certified Safe Travel (Mostly): Leafspring Launchers and Leafspring Pushers introduce a brand new fast-travel mechanic for Staxel, which Cecile has assured us was entirely safe for test subjects during the second and fourth trial runs! We're not quite sure what that means, so we've shipped over some proprietary chemicals to Aliza's store which will allow you to tune between all 6 maturity levels of the Leafspring plant for yourself. Getting your hands on a Leafspring Sprout will be a little trickier, so be sure to keep an eye out for when the Recipes appear in Aliza's store on certain days.

- Puzzling Interlopers: A small assortment of hidden items and abilities snuck their way into this modpack, but we'll only give you these hints to find them:

⊛ Two commonplace items hide an unusual power over plants. When used correctly, you may find that even the most fragile flowerbuds can be picked up safely and moved around like decorative statues! With another touch, they'll go right back to being plants again.

⊛ After discovering the proper purpose of Starbits, you may notice special "Golden" Recipes appearing in stores on certain days. The newest of these unlocks a device with a special spark to it, which is certain to add an exciting new twist for your painting projects!

- A Fantastic Interaction: A bit of careful Carving now allows you to turn static, decorative pieces from the vanilla theme sets into fully-interactive furniture which can be opened or closed, store plenty of items, and just maybe transform your daily farm life! There's no cost to converting furniture this way and it can be quickly undone, if you need to, by repeating the process with a bit of Glue.

- A Farmer's (2nd) Best Friend: Interactive wardrobes, dressers, and vanities offer an attractive place to store all your extra outfits, including specially-made hangers and shelving to fit clothing of different sizes. Once you're all fresh and dressed in the morning, you can grab food from inside your refrierator or store supplies under counters, sinks, and other work spaces!

- A Pleasant Face in the Mirror: New wall-placed dressing mirrors and vanity mirrors offer additional choices on where to change your outfits, so you never miss out by converting your other decorations to interactive furniture. Each of these are available on the Shipping Catalog only (for now).

- Pick Any Pet: Using the power of transforming magic, you can now preview and pick any pet breed you want! This ability is closely linked to your town's Pet Store, with all Dog and Cat breeds becoming available as soon as it first opens and ingredients for the 3rd pet species arriving once you complete Rosemary's unlock quests (we won't spoil any details).

- Piles of Fun: Next time you stop by Leif's General Store, you'll also find an array of brand new toys so you can start bonding with your pets right from the start! This modpack includes 10 new throwing toys with a variety of sizes and weights, along with 2 new training whistles for encouraging your pet to sit, bark, or roll around in the grass for fun.

- Tasty Pet Snacks: After you're done playing, you can now place down a variety of edible toys to take care of your pet while you're busy farming or building around town. You can self-craft or buy snacks like the Chewy Bone that last up to 3 days, or make a longer-lasting Nibbles Dispenser that keeps your pet fed for an entire Season! When they run out of pet meals, these toys simply disappear without any leftover mess.

- Automate Anything: Introduces Magic Catalyst as a special ingredient that can be added to any recipe to recast it multiple times, resulting in seamless automation for almost any crafting task! This feature works with any crafting station, including modded ones if they use an existing craft type.
