Most Riotshield skins i've found were messed up. Because they just edited the colors or just slapped a picture on it. So here you have it, a riotshield texture that is not messed up.

This works with the original riotshield but was actually intended for my Tonfa replacement mod.

thanks for this. every other decent-ish shield skin takes up half the screen and blinds you when light reflects off the shield 😭😭

i probably can't. I know of ways to do it, but the "probably best" approach is a vscript that adds the riotshield to the maps somehow.

the cheapest way however is just removing the melee weapon sctring in every missionfile. But that would unlock all melee weapons the game has in its melee weapon manifest. And that also won't work for custom maps that add their own melee weapons. Mutual exclusivity and such.

Perhaps some Vscript coder could do that. There's some on the "Dead 4 Mods" discord server. A link to that can be found on my profile. But i don't know enough about vscripting to even know if thats possible. :s

I have a question.
Would you be able to create a mod so that the shield is available on all maps in the game, both official and unofficial maps?

Currently, a mod that was known called "Riot Shield Unlocker" by user @Zaeryn no longer works, and there is another one called "Riotshield Unlocker w/ HUD Icon" by user @Abyssgard that currently works, but is only limited to official maps and not unofficial maps.
So, I was wondering if in the future you could make the shield appear on official maps, unofficial maps, and the shield appear through the console.
