Try to see in the code of the game if it can replace a castle battle. But indeed it was made for custom battles only so far as I know

It's a contest map. And shogun 2 was not made to support so much details, thus there are many collision bugs with the buildings.

It's certainly a good looking map, but the gameplay in it is mediocre at best.

That makes sense. I don't play online anymore though since I have a lot of different mods on my computer for shogun and it's too much work to disable them all just to play online lol.

The thing is, playing vs Artificial Intelligence makes the game laggy, as your computer has to support all the movements. Playing VS humans is on the contrary fluent. But yeah, no one plays customs maps on internet i asume :)
