Wonderful job! I just finish all scenarios and feel very with a sense of accomplishment.
Here is the bugs report: scenario 6, the England(player 2 maybe) have the wrong copour(the right is red, I think). And the Viking raiders are blocked by forest making it less challenge.
And the improving advice: scenario 5, maybe forbid improving age of empire is the better balance of this scenario.
I am sorry of my poor English.

Most importantly, I learned to play.

Would definately fight off elite longbows and onagers with a single scout again :D

(also, the.. 7th? mission is SOOOOO much better than the original, with the villages and damn good reasons to wall up - unlike in original - so kudos!)

Man, this campaign is all about making scenarios as hard as possible. Exploiting AI also requires some skill and brain work (for example, if you fail to lure enemy with your scout in second scen you will lose the game). If you can't beat it, go play ordinary WW campaign.

When did I say that? Pretty sure if you actually read what I said you'll see the problem is with the difficulty being through artificial bullshit and not good design. Your campaign relies on abusing the flaws in the AI, it's impossible to complete without exploiting the fact that the AI doesn't understand standing under a town center is bad. You don't win through skill or intelligent play you win by exploiting obvious faults. That is bad design.

Jesus this is abysmal. Giving the AI a shit load of ridiculous advantages doesn't make a good hard campaign it just makes an obnoxious one. When you give the AI 3x as many villagers, fishing ships, spare population room and spawn in Imperial age units periodically it's not challenging it's just unbalanced. I'm sure I could beat it if I kept smashing my head against the wall but it's not even remotely fun because the enemy just cheats.

How are you supposed to survive mission 1? One knight + milita men is BY FAR not enough, or is there more reinforcements other places, and since the towncenter can't shoot at the attackers without pesants, I cannot see how you can win this.

#6 is the one which is impossible for me, very good difficulty , #5 was far too easy since raiders wont affect u at all since there is no need of fishing ships and everytime i played (after beating it first time) i always get to castle age without getting any problems at all. #2 was very funny :D

It's a known bug in the client, can't do anything about it on my end. You can always reinstall or wait for the next patch.

The campaigns were fun, good stuff.

But when I finished them and unistalled this mod, the AI in standard games still retain their names "English" and "Raiders". Is there some way I can fix this bug? Thanks

I love this version of william wallace has a good challenge during missions 4 and 5. the only frustrating mission for me is six because you have no gold mines, while the enemy has a huge gold mine and you can only get gold by using relics or trading with ally. While mission 7 was actually the easiest for me. just wall up, gather food, advance to castle, collect stone, build castle, then use wallace and his men to wipe out the two english villages close to the water to take their gold and stone.

Scenario 7 is WAY better now. I just got around to it and it's much more manageable than before. It IS still difficult but at least it's actually doable now. 11

Level 3: Very enjoyable and defiant, however, by the time that I got 4 militia, I noticed that the instructions weren't really clear about on how I am supposed to win that. You actually need 10 militias, so there is a slightly big problem here, with unclear directions on the scenario. For a sencond I thought that I was supposed to defeat Red, since he was rising his score really fast, but after the tenth militia (didn't notice the small message by the start saying 10 militia), I won (and man, what a base Red built outside... Is he supposed to be that way?). Cool trigger trush :P
Just for aesthetics: Try to see if you can change the name of the name to English instead of the random names for English AI :)
Level 4: First really challenging map! You need to build a solid defense in order to survive. Many vikings invasios denying your lake access and a strong AI... Close combat. Watch out, leaving Red to grow by his own can be devating on the long run!

SPOILER ALERT:

Quick review and general comments regarding the campaign here:

Level 1: Quick, intense, and a good way to observe on how the quick speed of Celts is useful! Nice to make the player to use elevations and "melee hit-and-run tactics". I observed that healing on TC is a option as well.

Level 2: Quite relaxing... Until... Well, you should play it to really feel it. Great close battle! I observed that enemies can be confused right under the TC and stop fighting for a while, but well, I guess it is some cunfusing thing that the pathfinding on AoE HD do some times, haha.
Just for aesthetics: Try to see if you can change the name of the name to English instead of the random names for English AI :)

It was back when we used to launch it from the scenario editor! Now with the campaign adjusted on campaigns menu, everything is going fine!

Well, I got some recorded games of it, I'm really into presentign them on youtube like Nobody. I got a lot of unnorthodox methods of winning the scenarios, some of them that you wouldn't even imagine! I could win all of them in a Sunday without cheats, fells good man, hahaha! And not only I destroyed the Red Caslte on the last scenario, I also defeated the Red Player as well (and two other npc's, but taking a war against the rest would be too crazy/time consuming even for me). Quite amusing rec :P

I will do a detailed review of the levels here, with commentaries and some small random bug reports that I encountered... gonna be on another comment with a spoiler alert, lol

Thanks for the fun! May I add you on friends list? I thinking about doing some levels on that filosophy of B&D/basic triggers/"Ensembled-but-really-hard"

Anyway, I'm almost makign a video on how to beat it... But I'm solving it like almost a puzzle, not on a common B & D direction.

Are you planinng to do more Hardcore Campaign themed on other campaigns? If so, I would like to offer myself as a tester/helper on the process. I liked that campaign. And thanks for Nobody's channel for presenting this campaign to some audience!

It's not the woodline. If you don't build the castle fast enough, then the villages will expand enough to block the landing zone. But I'll look into it later today :)

The 7th scenario has too much RNG.
I have been attacke at 3 min in game time.
I had my ally resing after losing 1 villager.
Red has walk his army straight to my ally ignoring me.
RNG does not equal skill. It is all luck based if your ally will resign or not.

I have won with starting resorcen on high but it wasn't hard.
7th scenario needs revisiting.

I will say this. Overall, between the first 6 scenarios, it is hard but at least it's fun. Don't even try the 7th scenario though.

Yeah I noticed because the first wave involves you being stuck in feudal age holding off about 70-80 castle age units and then the second wave which despite a castle, wallace's troops, and siege weapons involves you facing about 70 fully upgraded units between elite longbowmen, arbalests, capped rams, and trebuchets -_- No thank you. Consider me out

Pewr did you playtest scenario 7 to make sure it's actually doable? I beat all the other ones without that much trouble and then scenario 7 seems basically impossible 11

Yeah, I did. But you have to load the map from the custom campaign menu for it to work. Single player -> Campaign menu -> Community campaigns (right side) and it SHOULD work. You have to do your part to save your ally too though. Free his villagers and protect him, else he will resign intentionally. I won't give further hints, since it is ultra hardcore mode!
