@KiJa - A heavy lifter! Ofcourse I don't mind, go ahead!

These are pretty neat, and I've reporposed the Mobility Core into a super reliable planetary lift vehicle, added a few items to fit with what I needed. It now has a walk in crew space with med bay and is fully pressureized. Also added two moew oxygen generators and 4-5 O2 tanks as well.

The Merge blocks were moved to the new platform that was built on top. It has been to space and returned twice now with only a slight problem on the first trip. The lack of downward thrusting units made the delivery of it's payload a bit trickier than expected, but that was corrected by a redisgn of the hydrogen thrusters and added an antenna and beacon as well.

Would you mind if I were to publish the resulting craft? I will give you credit for the original design.

@KKKek or you can do what's called "reverse engineering"
i hate you rara 18 Jul, 2017 @ 4:44am
a blueprint to the core only would help me repair it if you don't mind?
i would post one myself but i wouldn't like to "steal" the potential subscribers.
(i tend to reinstall the game files pretty often and lose the blueprints i make)

@ColTeH / good idea! I must admit that I'm a noob when it comes to scripts. Lifting arm works fine as it is though. These three vehicles are intended as bare bones, initial tools for making a start on any planet, so I imagined them to be rugged and super-simple.

@parkasever why not use the turret script for the arm and have it be fully controllable?

Good construct, simple simoke buyt versitle.

if you use MArmOS, you could add a vanilla welding/grinding arm to the salvager fairly easily, if that's something you want on it
parkasever  [author] 13 Jul, 2017 @ 4:01pm
Maybe I could add a couple of grinders or a drill to the salvager core, turning it into a buldozer of sorts. I'll think about it. About the welder - it doesn't work so well with ground vehicles (wheels). They are simply not manouverable enough to reach every spot. But maybe a welder on the flying unit would make it useful. All in all - this is the Core, everything an engineer needs to start their own base. I would leave the upgrades to the players.

Only a couply of things missing is a grinder and welder..unless you want to do it all "by hand". Nice concept, just if you could incorporate the grinder or just a welder if it was mainly meant for repairs then I qould give it 10/10. :) Right now 8/10 (Which is still far better than what I could have done!!) Please do not take any of what I said as a bad review. It is a very nice build.

Wow, nice original concept. I see a whole new class of ship forthcoming.

Subscribed this and liked it, a great design and a great idea. Nice!
