I tend to not recommend explicitly the use of outside mods, as they could maybe not be compatible anymore, but both might be worth checking out to see if it gives you some added immersion.
AI can use RPG's but again it's been awhile since I played so not sure what the state of vanilla AI is in Arma right now.
Sorry for the double post of it did not know this was yours aswell haha both great mods something i have been looking for ages thanks for making it. And al be sure to grab the PBO and do changes for myself when i have time.
At the moment, I am very busy IRL and do encourage people grab the PBO I linked below and edit it themselves if something is urgent or preferred.
So fixing broken stuff, most likely. Making massive changes or overhauls, no.
Will you be maintaining the mod in 2021 adding new stuff in where possible downloaded it and looks really good and was hoping if you will be maintaining the mod?
As a matter of fact, the problem only occurs on dedi. Even the RPT file is showing weird behaviour. I just could not wrap my head around it why.
@mitchrandell unfortunately recruited AI are not persistent. Only the human players. I recommend saving near a base so you can recruit more when you continue your mission.
I really am liking your mission and it is working great in LAN. I figured i try to make a dedicated server and turn on HC later on to check if the performance is any better. Ultimately i would like to play with my small group of friends so making a server is fundamental either way. Thus far the game plays 20+ fps more than previously, however i don’t know whether the different mod list or the server itself causes the problem, but the game no longer recognize the 1st and the 2nd UH80s as combat support options, nor i could talk to the pilots. Only the 3rd UH80 is present.
I have a pretty lengthy mod list to begin with, however for the sake of tests i only activated the mods you recommended for this mission.

P.S: By LAN, i mean LAN session created within Arma server browser, not dedicated server.

When playing this mission, the server fps drops down to around 10.
The mortars you see are probably either AI walking over to and manning some empty ones I may have placed at the bases, or perhaps CFP (or some AI mod you might be using?) is having regular units pull out mortar kits.

Small question: Is it possible to use mortar/artillery as support?
The starting base has a mortar crew, but I can't seem to call in mortar strikes.
The same when I call in mortar teams using logistics.
Any suggestion on what I am doing wrong?
I have been looking for an insurgency mission for my group for quite some time. I was curious to ask, as what modules/units you use in your mission that are from Spyders Addons?
When you say in your old mission, it worked fine in the first try but not in the second, was the second try after loading a persistent save? Are these errors caused by the revive mod?
I do believe an ALiVE update is likely coming. If you can provide detailed info, I can pass it along (though the ALiVE Discord would be a good spot to run past people too). That said we can’t do anything with errors caused by outside mods such as the revive mod.
Also, A3 revive I implemented in my mission, it all use to work, but now the AI, even without AI mods, refuse to come heal. Often the medic symbol would get stuck and the AI would in your squad would freeze. They also quit responding to orders.
I've been messing with arma on and off for a bit lately. I'm certain something is just broken right now. A lot of the mods haven't been updated in forever. I don't have time to beta test for them. People have lost interest I guess. Especially AI mods. Though VCOM is going to get an update. It is in progress.
I think we do have an update planned though. Not sure what issues you're having, but at least on my end, this op is running without any obvious errors even without an ALiVE update.
@Oscar Juliet No worries! Feel free to edit the post about it whenever and wherever you'd like! I love the idea of someone adding new things to this op, especially revive stuff since I get asked about it a lot.
@|>BLACKOUT<| What’s you’re question. I’m not on much these days though. If it’s urgent or intricate I’d ask over on the ALiVE forums or discord channel.
Regarding the Greek music, that’s probably an oversight or limitation from one of our ALiVE devs. Music gets added to building types with triggers. One Greek-like building that isn’t clearly a desert building was probably placed and got this sound attached. Nothing I can do about it.
That said, feel free to add any mods or scripts that offer AI revive and see how they work for you.
On the mortar/arty topic, that’s a cool idea. I can’t really think of a way to do this though. 3CB is the only faction mod I can think of that has a system of assembling tubes out in the field, but I don’t intend on changing from CFP at this stage.
