That doesn't look much faster than 60Mph. And 80Mph is quick, but not crazy quick. Anything over 85, I'd call "unrealistic".

and not just express service on passenger routes -- the ATSF would run the Super C, "The World's Fastest Freight Train", at speeds over 80 MPH fairly regularly.

So there really are freight cars that can/could do more than 75Mph? The fastest freight train I'd ever heard of so far does 140Kmh, which is already crazy quick.
