I ended up completely remaking the manticores using the argy, the remaining issues I had.
I'm sure our mods are different enough, so people won't pick one over the other. Mine will focus only on manticores and your's is seemingly going to have a variety of creatures.
I used the Argy Ai controller for the old version of the mod and didn't have any issues with jerky flight. My current ones use the Dimorph Ai controller which causes then act very strangely but they aren't ever supposed to wild. It could be down to their speed, mine moved weirdly until I changed their speed and their ai controller, was originally the bronto Ai controller with the manticores default movement settings.
For my mod I simply remade the Manticore using a different creature.
