its a mod exo not a piece of software. fix it yourself if you want to make it work. i don't keep up on this. and all the code is open for all to change and re-upload if they want.

No, no requirments for this mod. this is just for people that wanted their mech to take damage as the way mechs work is that blue fuel bar empties out and combines fuel and damage with it.

This mod will just prevent the constant fuel loss from using your mech but if you take damage it will still lose fuel. acting as HP.

My guess is that because the code essentially duplicates the fuel bar and makes it as a health pool instead. It is refilled with recolored fuel capsules, so the game probably counts it as "infinite fuel / health"

FU changes the entire game. more than likely they change the same functions as mine.

This seems to interfere with how FU handles health and fuel. Neither health or fuel goes down anymore even after damage that exceeds the mechs hp.

your energy shouldn't drop at all unless you get hit or something. excluding hazard planets since they kinda lumped in energy drain with hazard damage in the code.

is a energy only one i thing? what i mean is the same as this one but you can not damage it but its energy can still go down but not by it being damaged

it's not possible. i believe. i'd have to take a look again. but i'm pretty sure when i did this. the way it's programmed it wouldn't let me allow planet damage. but i'll take another look sometime.

Question: do you have any intent to create a version of this mod that will allow planetary hazards to affect the mech as well? Or is that completely impossible due to the way Starbound is programmed?

i think this makes mechs invincible in both energy and health in some other mech mod, idk if its FU or XS mechs modular edition but for some reason when this is installed, it makes my mech invincible in every way

unless you have a mode that copies the same name as my module in the lua scripting. then no mod should interfere. with mine. a mod might be interfering with another mod.

This is a GREAT alternative! I love getting evicerated in space encounters, but hate the added struggle of losing energy just from moving around and trying to defend myself. :3 Great idea!

thats how this mod works. only damage will do it not hazard planets. if you take a look at descriptions it says this will damage your mech from anything that causes you mech damage 'aside' from hazard planets.

Interesting effect that I think is from this mod, dive your mech into lava and despite the A.I warning, the mech's temp control never fails, therefore you can mine or just sit under lava indefinitely.

Nevermind, its the unique FU body, it keeps draining energy, fair enough its the only one capable to withstand the conditions on most of the planets

This mod is practically a must have for me. The fact you lose energy just standing around in a mech is stupid. Especially when you consider there's no way to refill your mech (at least in a vanilla sense) outside of actual space. This makes mechs on the surface of planets fundementally useless

literally 1 lvl up legs, they have 2 of each bar instead of 1 in the mech screen

i jumped into a lava lake for lols, and sunk all the way down, no damage
