Had a crash when Whimsy was hit by one of the Lunar Rifts moon shards rain.
Crash report said something about "attempt to index field 'sanity' (a nil value)".

Not sure what that means or if anyone reported anything related to lunar stuff doing this, but it's the first time i see this mod conflict with anything seemingly vanilla.

hope this gets updated sometime in the year, dont want it to break for future dst updates :c

having a blast. finally found a friend to play the game with. he's playing the viking, and i am the flower. So far, it all runs fine

i have the fear that this mod will slowly break, i would love to make fan art of Whimsy and share it around, play with friends and help them in the process, this is my confort character ( i know it sounds weird ), ya did an amazing work with the desing and i hope one time in the near future can get updated, so i can sharish those little amazing moments with whimsy with my friends around

@Popthiccle Just a heads up I had to google this mod as it does not show up in steam workshop normally even copied/paste the title into steam workshop and it does not appear.

Look up "Tencent Uyghurs" on duckduckgo. I don't recommend searching for it via Google as most of the relevant information is being suppressed.

I genuinely don't understand the logic behind hating a company for doing MORE UPDATES, Tencent or not, but perhaps I simply don't know as much (and yes, i do know about the garbage tencent does). Thanks for answering atleast. Have a nice day.

It's funny how as soon as Tencent bought a majority stake in Klei, the quality and speed of updates and animations went up drastically. Klei may have had some business dealings with Tencent before the acquisition , but it's obvious that they have been wholly funding their projects now. I'm not playing or supporting a game with dirty money if I can help it.

I know Pop will likely never respond to this and i'm just talking into the void, but after about 2 or so years of the mods being gone I figured I might aswell say SOMETHING.
I can fully understand the hatred towards Tencent. I personally hate them too.
But I feel as if the rage towards Klei itself was completely unnecessary.
Nothing has really changed, everything is still fine and Klei is as positive as ever, and they even stated at the beginning that they still have full control of their products. And to let you in on something: Klei has been working with them for a LONG time, like since 2016 long. If you weren't concerned there, why'd you suddenly drop the ball?
I really don't blame you if you never make any mods again, I can fully understand why. What I don't understand is why you'd punish the players instead by taking down all of your mods. A lot of people loved them.
I hope one day you'll reconsider, even though you'll probably never see this.

This mod is so valuable to me. My gf loves this game but doesn't like the stressful aspects of it so this mod really helps make the game fun for everyone. Now that you updated it, it just got even more enjoyable for her and everyone else since she can now finally help out with some stuff like cutting trees lol

A = damage and making living logs
It's Wormwood that makes living logs. It's not a literal exchange as an ability, it's what she doesn't have compared to what Wormwood does

Really cool character! My only gripe is that because Inspect is bound to left-click, it throws me off when picking up items and chopping/mining requires you to press right-click and then hold left-click

@TheHopeLessThrumbo: I used Wolfgang's wimpy form as a base, and then tweaked it as I needed it. In this case, it's times 0.2:

inst.components.combat.damagemultiplier = TUNING.WOLFGANG_ATTACKMULT_WIMPY_MIN * 0.2

I see that the rework actually makes this character usable even when without others' help for some time. The only thing I'm curious of, is their damage multiplier simply set to 0.1 to reduce unarmed damage to one?

Loved it before (get a large team and she was a perfect specialist) and lovin' the look of the changes to keep a unique place on a team! Should hopefully be an appealing option to smaller groups now!

Absolutely, it was great to have some help with the dialogue as well. Hopefully you're on board to help with any other characters I've got planned for the future as well. ;)

I'm so happy to see this character get more love! It was a lot of fun writing her dialogue. I might write dialogue for the Shipwrecked/Hamlet items as well, but we'll have to see.

This is a weird suggestion, but if you're taking them I would suggest maybe allowing her to produce seeds via photosynthesis

I love her, and I don't even know why! Ngl, Whimsy sounds kinda boring to play, considering her main use seems to be "follower other players around for sanity boost and carry their stuff" but there's just something special about a purely support-type character.

From the comments it seems like you're planning changes of some sort, and I don't like to do suggestions, but I do hope you've considered leaning more into her support role and possibly offer more benefits for other players? :>
Or at least let her equip items, since it seems kinda weird to me that Weston can do that but Whimsy cannot. At the moment she's kind of a wallflower (hehe) character with not a whole lot to do.

i like when character isn't too strong. But that character is too weak. You shoud add them hands for wearing tools and weapons. Cut hands is cuts enjoy from playable content of game

@Gaming_Bigfoot: Oh rest assured, it's ALWAYS because of what I wanted. Suggestions are fine, but I don't take cues from whiners who tell me "It's my job" to make them like my mods. If it's my job, where's my paycheck? lol

And as far as your suggestion goes, I will say that yes, I have considered it. ;)

So, finally getting a rework, eh? I just hope it's because it's what you wanted, and not because of people who whined...

As a small suggestion, given the recent changes to the base game, I think it'd be nice to see a certain plant-man's wild crops function make a return though Whimsy. Gonna bet you've probably also thought that though.

Either way, it'll be interesting to see what changes are made.

@Variant: Take it easy, you'll still be able to cosplay as a Sisturn if you want.

Please never update this character, I'm enjoying the playable sisturn playstyle she has going for her and I severely hope this never changes anytime in the future. My biggest fear would be having a character to play as, something awful like a farming character is absolutely what I *wouldn't* want in the distant future.

Honestly being utterly helpless against threats is a little bit overkill even for a dedicated support (Or a sentient resupply station in eyes of most). A big plus for the ideas nonetheless.

I'm actually subscribing to this thread just to see the occasional people whining to change the character, lol. It's pretty funny imo. Like christ some of them are entitled enough to say it's your job to make it how they want, like tf? Anyways cool mod, it's nice to see you sticking to the design you want and not budging to the nonsensical complaints.
