can you make a rework for this mod so it can work with the modern millennium dawn

If it was a one-off job to bring it up to date then it'd be a reasonable task, but I don't want to be locked in to buying expansions and maintaining patches for a game I don't even play myself anymore. In addition, if I were maintaining it, I would definitely want to continue working on the existing roadmap, as old MD was phased out at a critical point in the project, and that's not something I have time to do. The current state of the mod prior to the new MD release was always meant to be an interim until the full Nigerian mechanics were in place.

This is one of those projects that was always very high effort, very low reward, and I have other projects I'd like to spend my very limited free time on. Updating MD:AC to support new updates used to take weeks on my spare time, and I do not have that to spare anymore on a project with no benefits for myself (I wouldn't even play it!)

I may change my mind in future, but please don't hold your breath expecting me to get around to it.

I'm surprised to see people still posting on here for a project that has been long unsupported.

As it is I'm not likely to update this to the latest versions of MD: Classic. It would require a huge amount of work (it's a complex mod, some of it requires an automation tool-chain) to bring it up to the latest patches that I don't have time to support. I don't even have the latest expansions, as I haven't played HoI4 since new MD came out and I decided it wasn't for me. I wouldn't even know where to begin; it's been years.

You could always re-purpose this mod to work alongside Novum Vexillum, since the mod in it's current state is the old Millennium Dawn except with the prospect of getting actual updates and support

I'm sure there was a sub mod, correcting the generals in the Congo DR civil war, can't seem to find it.

Does this involve re-drawing state/province boundaries? Most boundaries/sizes of these need some re-work.

ahh, welp hopefully you finish that up soon. as i think nigeria could be quite interesting to play. that said right now it is kinda barron.

@rman88 It's not yet. The federal mechanics are a WIP and there's some other minor stuff needs doing too.

No. The mod confliction could be something to do with the other mod modifying African territories (used by post-colonial states) perhaps. I can only speculate without a bug report.

hey i cant help but ask but is nigeria finished. their seems to be alot of place holders that don't seem to do much. other then that its a pretty good addon.

Does this mod change Germany's focus tree? Because there seems to be a mod confliction with this mod and Vaterland - Restoration of Austria-Hungary.

I really like how the RCD and MLC are both (quickly) supported by Rwanda and Uganda respectively. It adds a bit more immersion to the proxy conflict.

@HyperSpearMan.swf - TheRyuSword I'm unable to duplicate this bug. The continuous focuses aren't a new addition, and there's no new behaviour in this area I can see. Can you try replicating with only MD and MD:AC enabled? It might be caused by another mod.

If you could put any bugs in the bugs thread instead that would be appreciated - it makes it easier for me to track them down when I come to stability fixes.

(I assume it's an MD update. I'll hotfix at some point this weekend)

I'll give it a look. I'm pretty sure that didn't happen on Thursday when 1.5 came out o.O I didn't test the entire tree, but I did definitely check that much...

Good job, new problem, the additional foci added to the game for when you complete all of the other foci covers up part of the Ideology foci tree. Please move it so the part of the tree I don't use is available for us mortals. The AI can probably use it, but we can't.

The Ideology foci tree.

Basically all of the focuses in the top of the bottom focus tree are broken. I'm referring to the one where you choose your government plus the part of the focus tree that causes the civil wars. That's broken and non-functional as of 1.5.

@Koopers Ta! It's fixed the current dev build; I just haven't shipped a patch for ages. Thank you for the hotfix.

@HyperSpearMan.swf - TheRyuSword I'll look to add that in as part of the balancing/fixes patch after the ECOWAS update, which I'm aiming to get out in sync with Waking the Tiger. It was originally added in MD without much context/balancing when AC came out, so I decided to wait until it was stable before making the transition.
