I am late to the game, only started playing it this year, I was put off by early reviews, and the changes compared to x2, x3 etc. But now with updates, and you good folk creating mods, the game has been a lot of fun. I tried it vanilla at first, and it was a tad too tedious in places

Hey @hack2root, this mod hasn't been updated in a while since I haven't been playing X-Rebirth lately. I did try it out a month or so ago and it still functions just as described. Back when I created this mod I did recall testing adding and removing it with no problems so it should still be save game compatible. The removal of Ren's voiced dialog from NPC interactions is such a minimal change that shouldn't negatively impact anything else in the game.

If you encounter any problems please let me know here. I can't guarantee I'll be able to troubleshoot it since my knowledge of scripting in X-Rebirth is not as advanced as some other mod creators and it's been over a year since I released this, but I'll do my best. The creation of this mod was really me just reverse engineering mods that performed a similar function, I just combed through the specific lines of dialog I personally wanted to remove and mirrored the necessary commands to do so. To my knowledge this mod works just fine. =)

One mod I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see is replacing the rude mean feamle and male npc's with nice ones. I cannot believe no one has done this. I HATE listening to my own employees snap rude even ignorant insults at me when I try to give them orders. You would so be my hero if you could make a mod like this. There has to be a way to remove them completely and replafce with nice ones. Think you could make a mod like that? Super pretty please and thank you ;P

Hi aladinaleks! I did try out SilenceYouAll but I felt it took out more dialogue than I personally preferred. I wanted something along the lines of Shut Up Ren! which primarily handled only Ren's dialogue. I don't know if Shut Up Ren! worked with skills before, but I noticed it isn't currently working with skills which is why I made this one. I also wanted to keep it pretty simple and only change a handful of Ren's lines whereas SilenceYouAll is a fairly complex mod that covers a lot more NPCs.

SilenceYouAll is a solid alternative if people want more NPC lines taken out and it was definitely an inspiration for me! Take care! =)
