Additionally, this functions just fine for me, I use this quite nicely without issue. The rate of production is ungodly slow (therefore I have about 500 of them on my Capitol Ship), however if you put Ice in the top slot, then provide it power, this will eventually produce extra Ice in the lower slot, which can be pulled out using a Conveyor Sorter, meanwhile the Condenser is able to pull Ice into it from the connected Large Cargo Ports.

@drmskr You haven't really studied how propulsion functions, have you? You probably additionally are unaware then that; NASA created Space Engineers alongside Keen Software Inc. How exactly did you plan to capture this Steam you are creating via the ejection of Hydrogen mixing with Oxygen which gets combusted, according to your theory of how volatile Gasses, such as Hydrogen, do not become less stable when removing the O1 from the H2-O1 (H2O); which is what the Hydrogen Thrusters are burning for fuel. Atomic Particle Physics would like to point out that removing portions of a Subatomic Particle Structure can result in extremely volatile results, if you don't believe me, ask Hiroshima & Nagasaki.

apparently not

This stopped working, is there an update comming?
drmskr 24 Apr, 2020 @ 4:47pm
@Profic Umm..?

Reality? In order to use real Hydrogen thrusters, they should be requiring Oxygen as well as the hydrogen, as burning the hydrogen is a direct reversal of the chemistry to split oxygen and hydrogen from water. SE ignores the Oxygen part. Which is why I was saying the Hydrogen Thrusters should be putting Ice back into the system after they burn the hydrogen.

Both slots. But one of my bother buddies tore it down and built it over again and has it working. I'll keep my paws off it lest I break it again.
Prof. hulk  [author] 23 Apr, 2020 @ 4:23pm
did you put ice in it?
Shorlas.ttv 22 Apr, 2020 @ 12:07am
I seem to not be getting work out of this. I have it build inside my base on earth. The base has no doors. It's on, fully powered, and has been for several hours. Not a single piece of ice.

thrust in hydrogen thrusters is a water(now is just hydrogen because it don't use oxygen) water? on a high speed and if you catch this water? you don't recive any thrust. "reality problems" :D

It worked the last time I used it. It just has an odd build cost for a simple condenser...

What I would like to see, are some Hydrogen Thrusters, that produce ICE when used... As, water is a byproduct of burning hydrogen...

The Survival update broke a lot of mods. It would cool if this one still worked as intended.
Might be a good one to add to my server for those on planets without Ice. Though, Ice is usually found on all planets but you'll have to dig for it on most.
Prof. hulk  [author] 15 Apr, 2019 @ 9:11pm
should still work if it doesnt let me know and i'll try and update the block file
Ω Spriggan Ω 14 Apr, 2019 @ 7:31am
seems a bit old, wonder does it still work. :P
i don't see a reason why not but sure lets give it a spin
drmskr 28 Feb, 2018 @ 6:24pm
And why the crazy build cost? All you need is a fan, and refrigerator to condense water.
drmskr 28 Feb, 2018 @ 6:20pm
Why on earth is the thing banking the ice instead of passing it on to the generators? Even with the Use Conveyor turn off, it still ganks all the ice. Can't it be set to push ice?
JDaremo Fireheart 6 Oct, 2017 @ 4:38pm
I think the needed ice is an actual game code issue
Spock The Builder 6 Oct, 2017 @ 4:34pm
Couldn't you just scale down the Moisture Vaporator mod? That doesn't need the starter ice and has support for the basic upgrade modules
Prof. hulk  [author] 5 Oct, 2017 @ 10:46pm
sadly yes it does need ice wardcadf
wardcadf 5 Oct, 2017 @ 9:50pm
does this need a unit of ice to be in the inventory to function like some of the older attempts at this?
wardcadf 5 Oct, 2017 @ 9:49pm
Is there a way to make it detect the air pressure like the vent block, or need the all green status from a vent block with a active conveyor connection?
JDaremo Fireheart 5 Oct, 2017 @ 3:06pm
Oh Man, Is this still functional? Would be perfect on an arid planet or in the desert of the earth-like planets.
Prof. hulk  [author] 28 Sep, 2017 @ 5:42pm
actually you would one of the major problems with being in a space station is controlling how humid it is. the international space station if im right has to do a regular cleaning of the inside walls to prevent mold and other life growth because of the presence of water in the air
CodedCrow 27 Sep, 2017 @ 11:13am
you could make it work on planets only. since you wont be finding any humid air on space stations
Prof. hulk  [author] 16 Jul, 2017 @ 7:53pm
sadly no i cant make it use oxygen to make ice i tried it once but the code didnt work
Simsmax 16 Jul, 2017 @ 6:01pm
it does not use air? i tested it on moon and it just generates ice, would be nice to use oxygen/air vent
