I am not sure why, but mine does not work after playing a game and returning to the menu, maybe something missing from the user.cfg?

1). Open up the Notepad, dont do anything yet, and click "save as"
2). On the "File Name" box, type "User" and add at the end .cfg (Example: User.cfg)
3). On the "Save as Type" box, select "All files"
4). On the "Encoding" box, select ANSI
5). Save the file in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Age of Mythology\startup

If you reopen AoM everything should work.
If not, pasting this into the new user.cfg file:

attractMode-scenario-0 ~greektown1
attractMode-scenario-1 ~greektown2
attractMode-scenario-2 ~greektown3
attractMode-scenario-3 ~greektown4
attractMode-scenario-4 ~greektown5
attractMode-scenario-5 ~greektown6

This is what the mod adds. Im sure there's something that I could that would make it work better but im not good enough with modding for that.

Thanks for the response. I just needed to add the user.cfg on the /startup folder in the route folder, it was not reading it in the /mods folder.

hmmmmm, im sorry i have no idea what it could be. the mod id very simple so i don't really know what could be causing any problems. If I had to guess I would say that there may be some conflict with your user.cfg file.

no i dont have another mod and no i dont have tale of the dragon

hmmm, im no modding expert, have you got anyother mods that may change the background? Also are you using Tale of the Dragon, i don't know if that will cause an issue or not. Other than that I don't really know what the issue could be.

make sure that when you load up AoM you click the buton with the steam logo on the main menu. This will bring up a list of your subscribed mods, you can enable or disable whichever ones you like.
