please update. it works but it slows down the game. Then you have a very low number of FPS even if you have a powerful machine running on you (for example, my PC is loaded at only 25% of power) and then I have only 8 FPS instead of 60FPS without

If to disable this mod (and it crashes the game because there's stuff out there still), I had a thought. Can you put an option in the config section to enable/disable the creation of the sheep in the first place (thereby turning it off and allowing them to thin out on their own) or else to kill off all the sheep already out there as a prelude to disabling it?

this is a good MOD, needs updating.

If you are going to use this mod you should change the mod file to only give 3 wool max or you start to get way too much wool. Wild sheep would only provide a little viable wool anyway.
cstoneburner  [author] 6 Mar, 2018 @ 7:03pm
Yup. Be prepared to build a spare one and eventually trade them off to a market if you need to.
white_knight_leo 6 Mar, 2018 @ 7:01pm
This is a great mod, but it causes a real problem: if you wait too long to start making clothes, the wool and hides really start to take up space in your barn!

ok i finaly was able to undo this mod, steps i performed is as Jakkī said, although it took longer than expected,

ageDieFrom 0.2
ageDieTo 0.3
animalsPerCell 0
reproductionTimer 10000000000000000

took me alot years but they are all gone

cstoneburner  [author] 9 Nov, 2017 @ 8:22am
I'm not sure what to do beyond what Jakkī did. There may be some underlying code changes that mean that once they have been introduced it is, since recent updates, no longer possible to remove the fact that they existed from a given save game. Previously the problems was that the computer ended up with undefined things lying around and they may have changed things to prevent that.

You don't need to remove non-wild sheep (as far as the game knows they are unrelated). Wild animals don't kill each other in the game, so altering that won't help.
バニラ 9 Nov, 2017 @ 3:36am
i did do what Jakkī wrote and edit the mod to that, but im 5 years further and stull unable to remove the mod
バニラ 9 Nov, 2017 @ 3:35am
or is there a way to make the wolves agrasive against those wild sheep ?
バニラ 9 Nov, 2017 @ 3:34am
ok i want to disable this mod, eh but do i need to kill all non wild sheep to ? beacause how do i know there are still wild sheeps left ?, not that i mind killing the pasture sheeps to, but i need to know so i wont do useless things

Ah yes I see, and you are spot on, yes indeedy I was used to the mod More Productive Animals.
How odd that no hides are given with deer? in the vanilla ..thanks!!!
cstoneburner  [author] 8 Nov, 2017 @ 10:10am
This mod only affect the wild sheep, it doesn't even affect domestic ones (they are treated as two completely different things by the game). The reason you are only getting meat for deer is because that is what happens in the vanilla game. Deer, moose and boars only produce meat, foxes, wolves and bears only produce hides in the vanilla game. If you are used to getting both it's because you were using More Productive Animals or something similar.

Hi cstoneburner, I've started a new game with a only a few mods , I've noticed in first person that the deer nolnger gives hides only a bucket a meat. Explains teh shortage of hides in my settlement even after killing many animal with 1st person. Bears are fine, fox is fine sheep is fine but not with deer. The only mod related to production and animal is your wild sheep. Tested the game disabling the wild sheep mod made no difference. I just wondered if you are able to determin if it is this mod? Thanks.
cstoneburner  [author] 2 Nov, 2017 @ 12:32pm
I would love to, but unfortunately I can only add animals I have models for as I don't have the programs or the expertise to add new ones. Unless the game adds domestic rabbits and goats I can't. Personally I'd love to add geese and ducks, both wild and domestic, but until some other modder with skill in animations shows up I'm stuck.

Sorry i missed that Comment, I tried it and yes the solution seems to work.

It took a while, roughly one year to kill off all the Wild Sheeps on my large map.
To accelerate the process I modified the lua; ageDieFrom/To "1" (0 seems to make the game crash). And animalsPerCell "0" and reproductionTimer "1 billion", which I presume should prevent newer Wild Sheeps from being born.
cstoneburner  [author] 7 Jun, 2017 @ 7:15pm
And sorry, I thought I'd updated the description to reflect that but evidently I didn't. I wil go do so now.
cstoneburner  [author] 7 Jun, 2017 @ 7:14pm
I've tried a couple of things to make this safe to remove but haven't found a solution other than Erina's editied one on teh previous page.
Jakkī 7 Jun, 2017 @ 6:54pm
Is there no safe way to disable this Mod? it seems like Saved Games refused to load when disabled.

Thank JDJ who found the fix while I was off taking care of real life things :)

Fixed version up should be up now. Thanks to JDJ for making the fix fast once I got back to the computer!

I am away from my computer and can't fix things until very late tonight at the earliest. But I will look at it as soon as I can.

Annothek, if' you'd like to give me a copy I'm happy to make it the default. This is true for anyone doing other languages for this or other mods.

Thanks Serina. Out of curiousity did you get notices when sheed died?
Warlords Welt 30 May, 2017 @ 7:30am
for German player a translatet csv are available :)
Serina 29 May, 2017 @ 3:31pm
Okay, it works. Once all the sheep in game died off, I saved and uninstalled the mod. Was able to load back into the same game without the sheep mod option. Just make sure to create a New Game Save once you're in the game so you're not prompted with that "Load the game without the mod" everytime ^.^
Serina 29 May, 2017 @ 10:54am
No problem! I'm testing something out at the moment. Edited the mod so that the sheep is no longer wild and waiting for them to die off to see if this will allow me to remove the mod successfully once all the sheep are dead. I wish there was a console command of some sort to instantly kill off whatever it is you wish. XD I'll let you know if the changes work.
cstoneburner  [author] 29 May, 2017 @ 10:47am
I'll add that to the description. Thanks for letting me know the issue.
Serina 29 May, 2017 @ 9:23am
Yes, it seems that once you have the mod, you cannot remove it because it messes with the existing sheep on the island. Oh well. Thanks!
cstoneburner  [author] 29 May, 2017 @ 1:03am
I'm honestly not sure. This is the first time I've dealt with the workshop and they've updated code since before the full release. I din't have problems with removing the mod before but it may now be an issue due to one or both of those things. I can see that there might be an issue with a game trying find the code for sheep that are already on the island so it may be that it's one that can't be removed.
Serina 29 May, 2017 @ 12:38am
Hey there. I'm having issues loading the game once I've removed this mod (I choose the load the game without the mod option and it crashes at the very end of loading the game). Is there any way I can remove the wild sheep mod from my current existing game or do I have to restart a new game without the mod? The game loads just fine if I reinstall the sheep mod.
cstoneburner  [author] 27 May, 2017 @ 1:25am
Other than my alternate starts mod all of my currently functional mods should be available via the workshop and should be controled via it. The handful of others, while technically they could probably still be installed via FVModSync , haven't been tested and I don't plan on testing them via it, especially since pbox has not been around since before the previous major patch.
cstoneburner  [author] 27 May, 2017 @ 1:25am
None of the mods should break games if removed (i.e. they will still work). The one mod that has serious consequences for EITHER adding OR removing in the middle of a given gameis "Old Forests". If you add it to an existing game all of your trees will be tiny because, while they have the same amount of wood in them as before, they have lived much less of their lives and haven't grown ot more than 1/8th of their size. If you remove it from a game that has it most of your trees will instantly die because they are many times the maximum age for trees in an unmodded game. New trees WILL grow and you should be back to normal in about a year but it can leave you in a bind until then and it looks ugly.

cstoneburner  [author] 27 May, 2017 @ 12:53am
It should work. I did test it and got wool from my hunters. The number of sheep seems to vary on different islands, but there should be some.

Is it crashing for you?

Do you have hunters and are they not getting any wool?

If you look around the island can you see any sheep wandering?
