I think hydroponics still has a place in that mod.
@lapis lazuli: I'm going to be making an 'advanced cultivation' which involves .dll changes (C# code) to implement a compost bin which works like alcohol fermentation. That mod will also include a complete fertility rebalance so that cultivated soil is much better than rich soil. I wanted this mod to be very simple and light-weight, making no changes to vanilla terrain/objects whatsoever. That said, 10% fertility is still an improvement on rich soil and very worth it after you have a decent farm set up. It also allows you to not be dependent on where rich soil is for farming.
What workstation are you using to make the compost?
Have you tried removing the bill and posting it again?
Are there required resources within the radius for the job?
There's really no message when you select a pawn and r-click the crafting spot; "resources required" or "pawn is not assigned to this labor"?
The new recipes should work at the crafting spot. I think there's a conflict with your save due to the old bills being in memory. Please let me know if you need any more assistance!
I hope you don't mind me altering this for my own use, I wouldn't do anything further without asking.
Cool Mod, I like the balancing and simplicity for this one.
Because you asked for suggestions: I like Ortho's idea below. Compost bins that take rotting bodies etc would also be pretty cool if you ever feel like it would be fun to do. I'd be happy to do art if you wanted.
Edit: It looks like you've already done the art work! Looks pretty good.
