's all good. It's just that voicepacks are basically the only thing that didn't need updating for WotC, is all.

Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be possible to assign cues/lines to any of the new actions like the Reaper spotting or Skirmisher Ripjack attacks. This has been a problem since Shen's Last Gift since afaik we can't add responses to things like SPARK Overdrive either. :(

Oh for the love of-- It doesn't need a WOTC version! I don't intend to add the voices to the hero classes, and it seems to work fine as it stands!

Capnbubs updated his stuff already, and the military camo pack and most of Grim's armour still works fine in WotC, so you can recreate the pre-WotC looks easily enough.

I'm just bummed to use 'vanilla cosmetics' since custom mods and LW2 are different mods now or MIA. But I'll wait :)

The character pool seems to work fine in WotC, since they are soldiers, is it safe to use the voice pack as well? This is one of my favorite mods...thank you for your hard work and dedication.

@teh1archon - at first, I thought it might not need to be, but then I realized all the cosmetic shenanigans that have happened with WotC.

What I'll probably do is post a seperate download of the (updated) character pools, since I don't plan on adding these voices to the resistance hero classes.

Love the voices. They are just a tad quiet compared to the vanilla voices and other modded voices I'm using.

I already checked the mod, yes. Anything that I could use was already reused in the remake at higher quality.

This does mean Flynn won't be returning, mostly due to the limited number of lines. AoSoldierSpeech.uax has ~350 lines for all eight marines. Any given marine has about 200 lines in the remake, up to 250 for some (Wolfe and Bastille particularly).

I've been waiting for this since this game released! Excellent work! Did you check out the Unreal Tournament mod as well to see if there are other voices, or did you just go by the Steam game?

I've pushed an update that removes an unused/obscure cue for Faith that I misjudged the purpose of (I was intending for it to be triggered on seeing the first Blacksite, but it wasn't connected to that) and adds three character pools - vanilla, LW2, and custom LW2.

Pushed another update;
* All Marines will now react to burning vehicles that are about to explode. ~4 lines on average.
* Faith will no longer comment about how quiet it is when moving. Should prevent weird situations like in the preview video where she says that line in the middle of combat .
* Jaeger will no longer talk about all this fighting making him hungry when moving. This line is now reserved for evac.

Currently pushing an update that increases the volume by 5% and does the following;
* New 'Grabbed' Cue, for when marines have been Viper'd. Unlike regular soldiers they will actually say things like "GET IT OFF!" instead of making choking noises. Jaeger technically already had a one-line cue for this, now he has ~4 lines.
* New 'Parasite' Cue, for when marines trip a burrowed chryssalid. 3-4 lines on average. Vegas only has one.
* Reassigned one of Faith's lines from TakingFire to Panic.

I'll have a poke at it. I don't want to mess around with audacity/etcetera because that would mean reimporting the lines and such, but I think the volumemultiplier for cues can be set above 1- I might try bumping it up to 1.05x (it's at 1x currently) to see how that sounds.

Chryssalids /are/ parasites, so go for it. I'm a big fan of Alien Swarm and really think what your doing is awesome, but do you think you could raise the volume of the voice lines? They seem a bit too quiet.

for me it would be quite fine, i mean my voice pack of sydney used sometimes the word cops for advent and it does make sense. Also calling them fucking pigs is not out of context xD

So, opinions time; how appropriate do people think it would be for the squad to call chryssalids 'parasites'? I'm thinking of using the related lines for when you trip burrowed chryssalids.

Pushed a small update to fix the tags. I'll probably do some more tweaks on this down the line - there were some voice files I initially pulled but might be able to use, and some lines/cues need to be shuffled around a bit.
