Seems like they're underpowered. Warmasters are dying constantly even to lower level ships than what they themselves are flying. Luckily this mod can be removed mid-campaign and they revert back to the original ships.

Would this work with GeminiDefenseInitiative, or are the warmasters going to be underpowered because they are not rebalanced for the higher stats?

This mod does not change the AI, it just give them better ships.

1) not possible, at least not if you mean keeping their damage/resistance perks (scripted)
2) mod does not change spawning in any way

i was wondering if it is possible to make the deadly dozen and the liberated into companions and if so could you tell me how? also when i first used your warmaster mods it spawned all companions upon start and it now no longer does this for me.

The game use packages (crypted archives) for key files such as ship templates, you will not be able to change those without a mod.

I changed the information in the warmasters files (I was able to change the level in which they change ships, did that for testing purposes), but I tried to change the models in the ships folder, and it didn’t work. For example: went to Nyca_Halberd file and tried changing it to an Asteria, didn’t work. If I can bother you, could you please tell what exactly do I have to change? Also, I know editing game files is dangerous, I’ll be sure to back up all the data folder. Thank you very much.

It is quite simple really (just change entries in data/warmasters and texts), although I would strongly recommend making a mod, even if you do not publish it. Editing original files is hazardous.

Hi, I was wondering how complicated it is to change the ships flown by the Warmasters. I used your mod, but I wanted them to fly different models. I’m not interested in making a mod or anything, just change my game, for my own play. I wanted to send this message privately, but Steam doesn’t allow us to send messages to non-friends, and I though befriending you just for this was silly. Thanks :D

Large ships take some time before they get in firing position.
It is a game issue, not a mod issue.

Yes thats something I noticed as well, through the "bigger ship" they sometimes seems just to stay out of weapon range... and they tend to crash into me while traveling alot :D but thats normally no big deal, but the missing combat help is really a problem.

I've observed it quite more now, there are fights in which they dash into battle, the enemy closes up and they fire just fine, while in other battles the enemy stays at range, than the AI seems to think "My ship is close enough to fire..." but they are not so they simply are unable to fire because of the range/distance to the enemy.

But I will keep an eye on it after the update now!

Hmm... the mod use an old ship file format, I will update it and see how it goes.
Keep in mind the AI is quite lazy, though.

I've the same "issue" as @platinumwyrm11 - since my Warmasters leveled to Dread... they are pure meatshields.
I mean... Gunnys and stuff they rip apart, but for example my 4 lvl29 Warmasters take around 4min to kill a Cruiser... while my own Cruiser just rips one apart in 30sec at maximum.

Feels like the Game puts them into Dreads but removes 90% of their weapons.

In the last mission the 4 Dreads of my side had an enemy dread against them... we nearly lost two of mine while they brought the enemy down to 75% ... than I started to help because I did not wanted to waste rebuild time for them... as my feeling was that they will lose 100%.

Activated the mod, my map started flickering and showing wierd code lines and such, deactivated it, but the game keeps crashing after a few minutes. I didn't have any other mods running. Could it be possible the mod messed something up badly ?

Interesting, I'll keep an eye on non warmaster ships to see if they seem to be doing damage then. Honestly I've never paid enough attention as I tend to rip through ships fast enough on my own but she'd wandered off on her own and by the time I took the station she was still fighting the ship she wandered off with and with how slow the Titans are to turn compared to everything else I didn't wanna have to go help her since she was behind me, but she took so long.

Is it just me or do warmasters seem to not really do much damage? I'm not sure if it's related to this mod but I watched from a distance as Tara took on a much smaller ship-cruiser I believe it was-she seemed to not fire a single turret at it. I watched for about 20 minutes as she 'slowly' wittled it down to around 60% hull before I flew in and finished it off. I'm convinced this was only from skills and possibly fighters. Has anyone else noticed an issue?

done those in a asteria dread with severence 3 with artemis 3 and all research enchancments 3 with the same fleet and didnt lose any one my fleet power is around 70K

That is because enemies focus on the Proxima, not your fleet.
Try to do one of the high level bounties without a Titan and see how it goes.

for exsample i fought the last fight of the titans return dlc with the five warmasters all 44 and 5 Borealis mk II and 5 Asteria mkII and no ship died against the legion
