It's physically impossible to update until somebody at Wolfire updates the blender plugins.

They seem to not really be doing anytihng for the mod community anymore, though, and it's gotten exhausting to keep asking.

I've stated that i'm waiting for the updated plugins multiple times and there's literally nothing I can do to change that.

Bogdan. I work on games. It's taking a long time because this is being developed alongside a complete campaign that i'm working on my own, alongside my other projects i'm being commissioned to work on. I'm also waiting for updated Overgrowth Plugin tools because the current Plugin that is publicly available doesn't work with the modern version of Blender. I can't update the mod until then, and that update is not up to me. When it does, there is already new modern Avian models for a standalone game i'm working on, and when that Plugin update happens, i'll be using that as a base.

Be patient, please. You've made tons of comments ranging from incredibly rude to just generally impatient, including the ones you've deleted yourself.

I plan on completely remaking these models soon. In the meantime, you tint them in the same exact way you tint every other custom character

I was working on a new campaign for them, but it's on hiatus since i'm going to be remaking all the models, and i've just been waiting for the latest blender plugins.

I was inspired to make a campaign around these, and now you added the reaper I have exactly what I need to finish it! Would it be alright to publish this campaign? Do you have an email related to this sort of stuff where we could discuss if my story/lore fits within your universe, and if it's still alright to publish this campaign if it doesn't?

It's a lore thing. There's quite a lot of lore behind this species, and i'm currently working on a campaign for it. If you're interested in the lore, I have it all on my instagram account: "@havenisland". The reapers have custom sounds and i'm working on adding custom sounds for all the other Avians, too!

It can't be the diffuse texture. I'm doing all my testing on models from the game. I'm even generating normal maps from objects from the game and reapplying those flat normal maps to itself... I'm no expert at this but as far as I can tell the problem has to be from whatever I am doing to create normals....

My Normals: Refuse to work no matter what
My Texture: Works with the game's normals but not mine
Game Texture: Works with game normals ofc and my texture
Game Normals: Works also ofc

Nope. I use Substance Painter for the textures. And Photoshop to mess with the Normal maps. Also, is your diffuse texture's alpha channel all black? Is it all UV Mapped accurately? If you add me and give me the model/textures I could figure out what's wrong with it a lot easier.

@Jackerino: Unfortunately for me if it was as simple as that I would have had it working hours ago. I even went so far as to use one of the game models to make a flat normal of itself and it is still all messed up!

Since you are telling me to do those particular steps I am assuming you are using xNormal?

@Tactician 1: They need to be World Space Normals.

2: You have to swap the Blue and Green channels. (Or other ones, i'm not quite sure. Fiddle around with it.)

3: You need to invert one of said channels.

Hey how do you generate your normal maps so that they work in engine? About 7 hours of trying for me just leaves me with shiny patches no matter what I do....:steamsad:

Just updated the mod. There is now 4 different variations, each variation having a HULL file with them so that you can throw objects like swords, knives, etc. at them and they will stick or make contact.

The 4 variations are:

Avian (Classic original model)
Naked Avian
Tribemaster Avian
Robed Avian

Each Avian has a colour palette that you can access with Ctrl+P, and every single variation can be searched for in the Objects menu, under "Characters". (Or, alternatively, you can search their name in the search bar.)

The original Avian model also has an improved rig, and improved textures in the colour palette.

How does the shorter legs make them weak? It's the same strength and power as the rabbits.

I won't ever add an ability for them to fly.

I want them to have a rabbit kick already, but for some reason it's hard-coded that they can't.

As far I can see, their legs are too short, wich makes them extremely weak (by my point of view). Maybe when you add to them the ability to fly you should also give them the '' Rabbit Kick '', or possibily an attack from above.

1) The Avian has the same playstyle as the other species. I can't animate in the obsolete Blender version they provide, but I will be adding a unique moveset once that is changed.

2) It plays the same way as a cat in the moveset.

3) Once finished, it will have the ability to jump higher than a rabbit.

(1) How do I play as an avian?
(2) Races have different playstyles. Did you progam a proper combat style for the avian? If yes how do I properly play as an avian?
(3) Do they have bonusses flying or jumping high?

I have a new variation 100% done, an unclothed Avian wearing only threaded undies. I have improved the rig for the clothed Avian, I have also slightly improved his colour map. However, there is a problem with my Steam Workshop copy for some reason, and I cannot update it. But that is coming soon.
