Allright :-) i'll get it all sorted.
Ashenfire  [author] 13 Sep, 2016 @ 3:13am
Final Un Official mod is in the downloads. The house wasn't originally nav meshed but I did all floors except where the Dragon born sleeps.
The Silent Gamer 12 Sep, 2016 @ 7:16pm
Sure no problems. Take your time. I've just been having problems loading up the game. I've restarted it 4 times now and it keeps getting into causality loops! I'll try refreshing my steam files and see if that solves the problem. If it fails one more time then i'll be getting me some of that shut eye myself. Lol 😀.
Ashenfire  [author] 12 Sep, 2016 @ 7:11pm
I've been up 2 days. I will get some shut eye and work on the mesh tomorrow.
Ashenfire  [author] 12 Sep, 2016 @ 6:49pm
Will probably need about 5 minutes to assess the nav mesh that was making followers not walk correctly in the room. It wasn't meant for followers originally. I'll make it connect to upstairs as well.
The Silent Gamer 12 Sep, 2016 @ 6:47pm
Oh the carpet is great and I love it. I appreciate and thanks again :-). I'll check out the update and let you know.
Ashenfire  [author] 12 Sep, 2016 @ 6:44pm
Since I'm here, I will work on navmesh before I crash.
Ashenfire  [author] 12 Sep, 2016 @ 6:43pm
Anyways, I corrected them assuming you wanted this layout. I hadn't planned on nav meshing today.
Ashenfire  [author] 12 Sep, 2016 @ 6:42pm
The original question was whether you wanted the extra carpet. Thats why they were not adjusted
The Silent Gamer 12 Sep, 2016 @ 6:29pm
?
The Silent Gamer 12 Sep, 2016 @ 6:27pm
Jordis materialised there after I installed the mod.
Ashenfire  [author] 12 Sep, 2016 @ 6:27pm
The mod doesn't change that behavior.
The Silent Gamer 12 Sep, 2016 @ 6:26pm
Lydia was downstairs as well but she was n ot stuck in wall but behind it. But I got her out and sent her back home to Whiterun. Jordis is still stuck there. I meant that is it possible to reset your npc so that it goes back to it's original pattern?
Ashenfire  [author] 12 Sep, 2016 @ 6:23pm
Jordis wasn't supposed to follow downstairs. Old navmesh. What do you mean reset your npc?
The Silent Gamer 12 Sep, 2016 @ 5:31pm
Here is the running verdict as I navigate the mod.

1: the secret wardrobe is fine.
2: the 2 wardrobes are well placed at the top of the stairs.
3: the entranceway is wider and well done.
4: top corner second left turn area with the burning torch and giants weapon 8 of the mannequin circles you can see the carpet through.
5: there is 1 mannequin that has no circle underneah second from left from the coffin.
6: in the 2nd area the mannequin to the left of the standing 4 piece candle holder you can see the carpet through the circle.
7: Jordis The Shieldmaiden is stuck inside the piller to the right of the 3 dummies and behind the chest but she can follow but goes back there when dissmissed.

As you can see numbers 1 to 3 are all good but the remaining 4 numbers are not so good.

6 out of 10.

Good effort but needs more work.

By the way how can I reset my npc?
The Silent Gamer 12 Sep, 2016 @ 9:19am
It's ok now I moved to the correct folder where I saw all the other files I know of. Now for the grand unveiling but I at the moment I am on a mission so it'll be about 5 mins or so when I will find out and give you my personal feedback. Don't wait up! :-D.
Ashenfire  [author] 12 Sep, 2016 @ 9:16am
I will do what I can to keep it in this location, forever, if I can manage it.
Ashenfire  [author] 12 Sep, 2016 @ 9:15am
If you want, (not necessary), you can select an action when checked....save as .zip
The Silent Gamer 12 Sep, 2016 @ 9:15am
Ah of course. I've downloaded it and I thought I had to open it.
Ashenfire  [author] 12 Sep, 2016 @ 9:14am

The Silent Gamer 12 Sep, 2016 @ 9:12am
What programs can open esp files? I thought it would in zip format but this file type I have no experience of dealing with?

The Silent Gamer 12 Sep, 2016 @ 9:06am
I looked on the site but did not know what I was looking for. I looked in Skybrary and I looked in gallery and then clicked on Skyrim mods UN something or other but saw nothing that said proudspire anything. Could you please post a more specific link?
Ashenfire  [author] 12 Sep, 2016 @ 9:02am
@JamesB, the question was whether or not you wanted the whole basement royal (floor).
If so, you can click on the link in the description and get it directly.
No registration required.
Otherwise let me know.
The Silent Gamer 12 Sep, 2016 @ 8:34am
Ah right. Ok then thanks for letting me know :-D.
Ashenfire  [author] 11 Sep, 2016 @ 11:39pm
I am encouraging people to sign up at my site for modding ideas, sharing, etc.

@jamesbfield77
The only thing left is if you want the royal carpet covering the entire basement.
If you want the enitre basement carpeted then it is ready at projectashenfire.org
Green has been removed, even from walls.
Ashenfire  [author] 11 Sep, 2016 @ 9:29pm
STEAM is updated to 1.2C.
NEXUS is updated to 1.2C.

LOL, it was team effort. I would not have known about embarassing issues (each version has different problems). I had to come back and address this eventually. So I am pleased.
The updated one has all fixes without affecting decorations.
I am still creating one with red carpet since I had to fix everything else. It will be on my site.
Anyone that wants a copy will have to download it from my ftp site or email
showcasesupport@projectashenfire.org and give me their email if they want it as an attachment.
The Silent Gamer 11 Sep, 2016 @ 3:59pm
Good work! :-D. Well done and thank you! :-D. I'm not suprised you updated it on here rather then just go out of your way for me. You have have done us a great service my lord :-D.
The Silent Gamer 10 Sep, 2016 @ 3:57pm
Allright then. I look forward to it.
Ashenfire  [author] 10 Sep, 2016 @ 3:13pm
Probably tomorrow if it all goes right. I have been up 2 days now, so need some rest before I can do more.
The Silent Gamer 10 Sep, 2016 @ 2:47pm
Oh I see. Have a 2nd save slot. Ok understood. When will it be ready?
Ashenfire  [author] 10 Sep, 2016 @ 2:03pm
I am making a special one just for you.
Reasons:
1. If I update normally then anyone who subscribed to this will most likely
lose 3 weapons in the basement ( I created new weapon racks and deleted old one).

2. Since I did major maintenance, I decided to create a second mod to switch to
royal carpet and it won't be available for the version to download on this page.

3. I am still working on how to make the hidden wardrobe seem 'natural'.

Also, this is a major overhaul, saving old games won't matter unless you do
a normal save and only use it for the ORIGINAL mod.
In other ways, save just in case, but don't use it for the new mod.

So, if the special mod (which I will have on my website for anyone to download for free),
doesn't work, you will still be able to refer to the original mod.
Ashenfire  [author] 10 Sep, 2016 @ 2:03pm
Original mod can be downloaded from nexus via MANUAL download, this means
not using the manager.

Original mod can be downloaded here by subscribing. I will change all descripors
and update the modders notes on this page if I change to 1.2C.

I am researching how to safely upgrade so people can be warned of the changes.
So, I wont be scrapping the old one until I can figure out how to safely upgrade.
Or yet again, I will post the 1.2C upgrade at the top of this page so everyone knows.

You can also go to your steam directory where it is installed:

Example:
\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data and look for BetterProudspireManor - ASH-Alt.esp
and copy it to a safe place BEFORE you use the new special one.

The Silent Gamer 10 Sep, 2016 @ 12:57pm
On a side note. Do I need to back up the old data file? If so then I must find out how to do so.
The Silent Gamer 10 Sep, 2016 @ 12:54pm
Ok Ash understood. So what you are doing is building a new mod and the old one has been scrapped right? And then you will simply update this page and all the display pics will be changed also. Looking back I am glad I complained about the mod and I am very happy that you took on board what I said and decided to start from scrach. Most people would not be bothered to concern themselves with such matters and it is quite rare that I would even take the time to point out such matters.

After trying many mods for proudspire manor basement until I settled on yours the only reason I went out of my way was because I knew from my own experience that there was nothing better. So I had 2 choices either I could just delete the mod and do without or complain. I made the right choice :-D.
Ashenfire  [author] 10 Sep, 2016 @ 8:11am
Oops, keep old copy 1.2b on hand with save.
Ashenfire  [author] 10 Sep, 2016 @ 5:23am
@jamesb-UPDATE. All done. 3 weapon racks in basement with swords stuck in ceiling is
absolutely not acceptable. You mentioned one, I checked ALL weapon racks/displays.

I might have cause 2 more during editing, (the other two). Anyways this means they are
repaired. *ANY PERSON DOWNLOADING/subscribing will lose items on those racks*.
So make sure save games were made and you have your old copy on hand (3.A).

Otherwise 3b is now being packaged for distribution.
Ashenfire  [author] 9 Sep, 2016 @ 9:33pm
I confirmed nexus and steam got my old mod. Must have been updated towards the end of the mod cycle. Anyways instead of patching the roof this gives me a chance to make the mod
more 'behind the scenes artisticaly acceptable'.

In other words it was my first design and the snap to grids were not behaving so I manuallty
altered all the pieces. This caused issues where the stairs didn's align which caused me
to patch the hallway.

I already have spent a day and a half making it more acceptable.

This means that I am not happy with having to spend this time on an old project but
at the same time it is a mistake I made that finally caught up to me.

LOL, so this makes the experience ok. I will probably just change the carpet for you as
well, I'm already immersed into the project.

The embarassing gap in the roof is unnacceptable and I am deleting all the final versions
and replacing them.
The Silent Gamer 8 Sep, 2016 @ 5:58pm
The gap is above towards the top right hand side of the ceiling as you step through the archway at the top of the stairs and it is about an inch wide plus it runs the entire length. Not really a major deal as it was just something I noticed and it does not affect anything but fix that whenever you may want to.

I can disable the signs easily enough, wardrobe items sounds like a good idea and anything you may choose to add too but no pressure of course as there is the cool looking coffin where I stored many weapons and shields.

Yes I am willing to pay you a small amount of money via paypal for the hard work you are putting into my idea which arose from the interesting chats we have on here lol.

Yes the secret door wardrobe would be at the top of the stairs and blocking up the archway.
Ashenfire  [author] 8 Sep, 2016 @ 5:29pm
Any technical information about a mod is always fair game for complaining. The gap is always a concern for a modder. That is why I was asking about what level you saw the gap.

No worries about the signs. I am in a good mood and am volunteering to add wardrobe items
since it was a good idea. It seems fair to do it for you since you had the idea.

I always wondered if people would pay for a small fee for someone's time to add or
remove items in their mods. Oh well, thinking out loud.

Anyways, did you want the wardrobe secret door blocking the entrance to downstairs so
the user has to use the secret door?
The Silent Gamer 8 Sep, 2016 @ 9:33am
Fair enough Ash. Leave the carpet as it is, forget about the gap and never mind those signs. Just focus on the wardrobe and the display cases. I got carried away there. Sorry about that.
Ashenfire  [author] 8 Sep, 2016 @ 9:29am
If you started a new game, make sure you don't touch Proudspire until you get the new unofficial
mod that I will have ready on my site. Also back it up.

What level is the gap?

I will add wardrobe for fun, but I am not re arranging half the mod for one person.

The fact I like the wardrobe idea is reason for me to open the mod, but not meet
extensive demands.

Keep in mind making demands for a mod is a major turn off.
The mods have a 'feel' or function and it is part of any game or home that not all of
it is to everyone's liking.

The Silent Gamer 8 Sep, 2016 @ 9:11am
What I want is a wardrobe with a secret back panel for the top of the stairs. I want the 2 display cases to hold weapons. The 4 signs must go I don't want them there. Change the carpet to a more royal colour, floor only and the entire area. More weapons racks where possible. Oh and fix that gap I mentioned as well. Everything else is fine but polish off and fettle up a few bits and pieces here and there. No nexus mods because I had problems with that site or make it so that I can download it with a nexus account.
Ashenfire  [author] 7 Sep, 2016 @ 10:27pm
@jamesb
The next step is:
1. Verify if you want to accept them the way they were designed or have them modified.
2. Veriify if you want to download the special mod from my site (it is a special order)

I won't make a move unless you agree. Also i will add wardrobe items.
Ashenfire  [author] 7 Sep, 2016 @ 8:37pm
Ok. They are not broken. They are not meant to hold swords. They are the orignal tables and their job is to hold arrows, gems, a mask or two. They were not meant to be activated.
The Silent Gamer 7 Sep, 2016 @ 8:33pm
4th pic on the right from beginning going left to right.
The Silent Gamer 7 Sep, 2016 @ 8:30pm
Yes the 2 display cases under the 2 dagger cases on the right hand sideas you turn to the left and opposite the 2 archery targets and the 3 stooges hit em hard practice dummies.

Anyway I have started the game over so hopefully when I get proudspire again or if then perhaps it might be ok this time around.
Ashenfire  [author] 7 Sep, 2016 @ 8:13pm
Are you talking about the two floor displays that are in my picture gallery?
If you were to look at the picture slider at the top of this page and
the picture of the outside of the house is the first picture, count 3 after it.

You will see two floor displays under dagger displays. Is this what you are
referring to?

Also, did you download from Nexus or did you use this page to subscribe it?
