Easiest way if you are not familiar with mission editing is to use Zeus in game and place some.
If you want to edit the mission you need to extract the mission .PBO and look around in the scripts. When you find the script(s) that handles planes, you add the extra ones.
Random tips:
- Notepad++ is pretty good if you use Windows.
- Rename the folder for the mission to something like JettingForHonourMODDED so it's different.
- You will need a .pbo extractor.
- Object names for modded vehicles/units can usually be found in the documentation for the mod.
Hopefully that can point you in the right direction. Happy editing!
The proper way is to: 1. Press M - Control Panel, select the Wipeout.
2. Request the plane.
3. If you want to change loadout, run up to the plane.
4. Scroll the mouse and select "Change loadout".
Also, are you running the latest version (0.87)? It says in game on the map screen.
I see, I will look into the evac mechanic. It is for sure more immersive than pressing respawn. But then again, for a sandbox mission I think that people just want to get back into action fast. A random infantry patrol hunting down the downed pilot sounds fun though.
Just have to script Opfor into the automated AA vehicles.
As for a notification, you might consider just a progress bar. Simple, effective, and non-obtrusive.

Heh, the earth map was my first use. It was TERRIBLE. Gonna try again on the new massive ME maps PMC just released. Even altis shows it's space limitations with this great mission.
Ambient stuff, I'm thinking about an optional AAF AI commander, that can react and launch missions. To make it feel more alive.
Modded jets - I haven't played with modded jets yet, so I don't know which are good. Any suggestions? Also, I will probably improve the request planes functionality, maybe a GUI. But at this time BIS is changing a lot with the planes and especially the Dynamic Loadouts. So it would be smart to wait for BIS to implement that system first.
Also, this mission is a sandbox mostly about jets, and flying I guess. I want to keep it that way, and don't implement everything of everything. Because then it's just better to play Liberation or Warfare or something along those lines.
Glad you like it! Looking forward to see that Earth Map port!
Yes, helis should and will be implemented.
The Search and Rescue mission, do you mean that players would be stranded? Or AI pilots?
Nimitz as Opfor is an interesting idea, I'll see if I can get the Nimitz to stop shooting at Opfor.
Next version will have zones with the size of 2000 (instead of 1000), and a vehicle is required to capture it. No more cheap para jump caps. I could add a notification when a player enters a zone, but the notification could get annoying if it pops everytime you enter a zone.
Helicopters and a subset of support missions. (give the jets something to protect)
SERE sequence, where pilots have to survive a recon party long enough for evac to arrive, as well as place them in an appropriately quiet spot to evac.
Use Nimitz as Redfor Carrier
Make zones larger, and make it easier to know when you're inside one and capturing.
Make ambient ace pilot missions CAS planes on mission, and use AA jets for zones and occasional mission success response.
Optional config for modded jets?

Really great work. Having a blast porting it to different cup islands. Gonna try the scaled down full earth map tonight.
