Beyond that, you'll find that the roof peices extend further than the paths(roofs fill the full tile with an even square, paths are slightly smaller than the full tile). When you place a curvey corner roof peice, you'll need to place 3 more square roof peices under the surrounding path tiles, or you end up with a gap. I tend to place square roof peices under all path tiles, otherwise it's kinda noticable where you've used it.
(I do use a couple camera mods, I don't think the screenshots show views from those mods. And they're not necessary.)
