Not that I know of, but then I haven't thought of the CS units having extra strength idea so haven't looked to see myself.
Angelhearth 31. maj 2021 kl. 9:00
Thanks. Any that give the soldiers extra strength etc?
Cobber [1st M.I.] 30. maj 2021 kl. 17:43
@Angelhearth:

TCS Free Walls for City States gives all city states in a map free Ancient Walls from the beginning turn, and it still works apparently despite all updates for the NFP being released since last March.
Angelhearth 30. maj 2021 kl. 17:17
Any names?
=[NK]= Col. Jack O'Neil 30. maj 2021 kl. 17:14
There are other mods to add extra stuff.
Angelhearth 30. maj 2021 kl. 17:11
The only thing this mod does is to add some units, but isn't there anything else one can do? Adding walls, or disabling the possibility of sieges or something like that? Adding a few units only delays the inevitable, some AI's will go for the city states no matter what, unless there's a way to make it impossible to conquer them.
Angelhearth 15. maj 2021 kl. 15:42
Is there a mod that will totally and utterly prevent anyone from attacking city states? I want to keep them, they are much more valuable alive than dead.
Cobber [1st M.I.] 5. aug. 2020 kl. 18:04
@cameranutzii:

The mod @gmnowels is referring to for giving CS free walls is called TCS Free City State Walls, or something like that anyway.
cameranutzii 5. aug. 2020 kl. 9:33
@gmnowels ... how to add walls to the options?
gmnowels 24. juli 2020 kl. 17:35
07242020 working. I've increase units by about 50% and use with mod which provides CityStates free walls. They still often get rolled over too often by AI, but helps. :steamhappy:
p0kiehl  [ophavsmand] 7. juli 2020 kl. 13:09
It is 100% still working.
Smacks 7. juli 2020 kl. 12:51
Wish this still worked :(
PhazezGova 6. dec. 2019 kl. 10:54
I have now combined these mod with civitas cs expended, but cs freewall is not needed???
Cobber [1st M.I.] 4. dec. 2019 kl. 19:21
@p0kiehl: Please forgive the fact that this is not the best place to raise the question; I've previously tried on both the Workshop forums and CivFanatics but never had any luck getting an experienced modder to look into it.

I'm wondering if you would consider looking into getting the Scouts Ignore Borders mod back up and running 100%, as you seem to have a rather diverse portfolio of mods you've created and uploaded indicating that you are skilled at modding. It's author (GeloDGreat) is currently having an extended hiatus from Civ VI and indicated to me a while ago that anyone could update his mods just so long as credit was given to him for creating them.

Would you be in a position to have a look at resurrecting that mod? It's a very useful mod and is still (currently) a one-of-a-kind on the Workshop even with being deprecated.

I removed one warrior and added a galley. Not useful for noncoastel CS, but it should help against coastal raids (well if the stupid AI didn't instantly send the unit to the other side of the map...).
Ingolenuru 30. okt. 2019 kl. 16:03
Awesome!! I really can't stand having no use for my envoys because there aren't any city states left to send them to. Really appreciate the quick replies. <3
p0kiehl  [ophavsmand] 30. okt. 2019 kl. 15:11
Yep, it's working.
Ingolenuru 30. okt. 2019 kl. 14:45
Is this working with the Sept patch? Thank you for this mod. This really helps the city states. I usually help the ones close to me so they don't get taken out.
Your pocket medic boyfriend 28. aug. 2019 kl. 5:43
YES, thank you. I am so sick of Mvemba a Nzinga constantly taking *my* city states and I look like the bad guy for defending my bois.
rotork 18. mar. 2019 kl. 11:18
Unfortunately the CS still get steam rolled in most of my games. Anyway you can make it so that the CS start with some medieval walls or something?
=[NK]= Col. Jack O'Neil 4. mar. 2019 kl. 16:19
100 turns is a lot mate.
BLÀde 4. mar. 2019 kl. 8:01
last game i watched civs take out 5 CS within 100 turns just on king. the ai just spams all warriors and sends wave after wave at them.
p0kiehl  [ophavsmand] 4. mar. 2019 kl. 6:35
It's still effective in GS. I recommend also using the "Free Walls for City-States" mod.
BLÀde 3. mar. 2019 kl. 7:21
this mod is no longer effective in GS. civs capture CS within 100 turns
taynet64 26. feb. 2019 kl. 14:28
omg!!!! yes!! i am so sick of having half the city states destroyed before the beginning of the medieval era with a single slinger and a horseman!
gmnowels 21. feb. 2019 kl. 6:08
@BINARYGOD, @Cosmic Fox; this mod will not cause crashes, loading screen stuck etc. Look at the code. It does nothing much. Three lines adding extra units is all.
p0kiehl  [ophavsmand] 21. feb. 2019 kl. 4:29
I understood what you wrote but I am telling you that this mod is not causing that, as Jack O'Neil said below. First of all, 'stuck on loading screen' is not a frequent symptom of mod failure. You have something else going on, or some other mod problem. Second of all, this is a very tiny mod that is just a couple simple database updates. Myself and almost 9000 other people are using this mod without any issues.
=[NK]= Col. Jack O'Neil 21. feb. 2019 kl. 1:16
It's not this mod causing trouble. Check your other mods
BINARYGOD 21. feb. 2019 kl. 1:10
What I said was that with this mod, the game was stuck on the initial loading after trying to start a new game. Then I removed the mod, and that didn't happen anymore. Perhaps it is just because your mod and some other mod do not work that well together, OR, your mod has some issues.

Eh - whatever....
p0kiehl  [ophavsmand] 20. feb. 2019 kl. 20:20
This mod doesn't cause crashing whatsoever. I don't know what either of you are talking about. It is a few simple database updates.
BINARYGOD 20. feb. 2019 kl. 20:02
This caused my game to get stuck at the black loading screen after game setup and before you see your leader and Sean Bean starts to talk. Have to kill the process. Also, I think you need to fluff them up more that you were (just a guess, cannot confirm, of course).
Cosmic Fox 20. feb. 2019 kl. 10:55
Hey bro, any chance this can be updated, for some reason it causes crashes at times.. :steamfacepalm:
gmnowels 16. feb. 2019 kl. 18:59
thxs for update @p0kiehl. I don't subscribe; but download and increase # of units in SQL file. Still an issue with steamrolling later on in game when tech increases; btw.
ubereffect 16. feb. 2019 kl. 18:53
@miguelalex888
The mod I mentioned is called: Territorial City-States.
It's available on NexusMods, but doesn't work (since Gathering Storm).
p0kiehl  [ophavsmand] 16. feb. 2019 kl. 16:22
This mod has just been updated for Gathering Storm.
=[NK]= Col. Jack O'Neil 16. feb. 2019 kl. 16:19
Yes it still works
sxarexrow 16. feb. 2019 kl. 11:10
Will this still work with GS?

I'll worry about Hungary later, but I really like this mod.
miguelalex888 16. feb. 2019 kl. 7:24
@ubereffect

What is the name of that mod you mentioned? I am very interested.
ubereffect 14. feb. 2019 kl. 17:47
I have a feeling Gathering Storm's Hungary may warrant a name change for this mod. From "Stop Steamrolling City States", to "Steamrolling with City States".
If you're looking for ideas on how to strengthen City States without feeding Hungary, I've had my eye on a non-steam workshop mod that does the following: "City-States get +15 Combat Strength when within and adjacent to their borders, and Killer of Cyrus." I like the idea of how the buff only applies within/adjacent to their borders, buffing defense without buffing offense.
william.xantos 22. dec. 2018 kl. 16:19
That was fast.
Thanks creator.
p0kiehl  [ophavsmand] 22. dec. 2018 kl. 16:10
Yes, it does. I use them both together.
william.xantos 22. dec. 2018 kl. 16:09
Does this work with the free wall city states mod?

It feels like it should but what do I know?
YourFriendJohnny 7. dec. 2018 kl. 17:43
Great Mod, I don't always notice a big difference, city states still getting steam rolled sometimes, but the concept is great and it addresses a huge problem with Ciilization. Just one question, is there a similar mod for Civ V?
LOBO 6. apr. 2018 kl. 13:53
Is there a similiar mod that can give starting units to major civs?
Kurnn 28. feb. 2018 kl. 6:27
Great mod since it doesnt add any building to the city state but give them better defense!
Someone can still take a city state but it wount be so damn easy!

Great mod!
p0kiehl  [ophavsmand] 12. feb. 2018 kl. 21:31
Anyway, point being: this mod is working fine, so please use it if you like.
p0kiehl  [ophavsmand] 12. feb. 2018 kl. 21:30
This mod is working fine and does not require an update. If you were getting a "Start Game" crash that has nothing to do with this mod (or any other mod probably), it's a known issue with DLC introduced with Rise and Fall.
Cosmic Fox 12. feb. 2018 kl. 8:45
p0kiehl is updating all his mods, he has quite a few and it will take some time @Ranma :^D
Ayane Ranma 12. feb. 2018 kl. 1:56
This seems to not work with Rise and Fall anymore.
Would love to see it back so that one can actually meet city states on deity ^.^
Lego_Teh_Eggo 26. jan. 2018 kl. 7:00
@krumStrashni Maybe. Seems to be an issue with the language settings
