the bay doesnt work. it doesnt go down

I really like this ship, and i wanna use it on my survival game, but i've found a couple of issues.
The first issue is that the piston's need to be in the red on max impulse, on both max impulse settings in order to lower the rover bay.
The second issue, is that the rover is a tiny bit to short to redock to the connector inside its bay, i can undock it, drive it around, but when i get back and raise the platform, the rover is a bit to short to reach the connector, is there something i've missed?

Once you finish your modded redesign can you release it? I would absolutely love to use this with a modded interioir :D
