One of my favorite interpretations of The Hammer. Nice character development:cozybethesda:

Is this ever gonna be finished?

I know it's been a while - I had an 'epic climax' level 90% done but it got corrupted and it discouraged me a bit. Will try to re-create it soon!

Hey all, sorry for the delay - expecting the birth of my first child any time now so been very busy!

Level 13 has been ready for a while; I'd been holding it until 14 was done but since it's taking so long I figured I'd update. The grand finale is already underway and should be ready soon!

As always, any feedback is appreciated!

Hey there, thanks for asking -

Been taking longer than expected so I added levels 11 and 12 - I would have done so sooner but I am not very good at the actual game and I have to beat the entire campaign each time I want to make a change.

Level 11 is more cutscene than level but it took a long time to get right and I felt like it was an important turning point in the narrative :)

Level 12 is all gameplay though, and probably the biggest one I have done yet.

Please let me know what you think!

Is it done or close enough?
Metrivus  [author] 4 May, 2017 @ 6:58pm
Still plugging along - only 2 more levels to complete and the whole thing is done (will be 14 total, but these last ones are taking the most time as they're the biggest!)

The level 10 cliffhanger!

I won't be updating again until the campaign is complete, at which time I'll spruce it up a little and re-upload the whole thing - will leave a link here when this happens!

Making progress - currently planning for 16ish levels total.

You make better maps than I do or (most people) and I like your Hammer charater style.

Alright, with all comments in consideration I've swapped out the campaign for what I'm working on now. Please try the new one! Will be adding levels as I go.

Particularly re: the sprites - they should make more sense to the narrative now!

Also it should be more difficult now.

a bit easy but nice design. looking good so far

By the way if you don't know how to make custom sprites you can ask some people in the community or look up guides.

Decent levels and decent cutscenes, I'd suggest replacing The Son and Manny Pardo with original sprites because it kinda takes me out of the story. But other than that it's okay.

Comments have been very helpful; it's been very weird for me to re-use sprites as well but I've wanted to learn/work with the editor without having worrying about them.

SO as a happy compromise I've decided to nuke this campaign and re-use some of the assets for another one - focused around the Hammer character and interacting mildly with the HM2 story - that way the sprites make sense. :)

I have one level for this finished; when I've reached two (the same amount of content already there) I will swap out this campaign for the new stuff. Another change I've decided to make is to stop doing the 'scaling difficulty' thing and just starting them out as pretty difficult, since this extra content is usually played by people who have already beat the game and not new players.

So thanks all, and in the next few days you will see this stuff all change - I hope you take the time to play the new levels !

Entering the second floor of the second level causes the player to get stuck and not be able to move, i think the spawn location needs to be moved up a little bit, you get stuck inside an invisible wall. Other than that the levels seem natural and flow nice. Good luck on the sprite guy, it's a little weird to see Evan and Pardo going by different names.

Well made campaign the cutscenes for sure but some custom sprites would make the campaign look better hope you find someone who can make sprites.

Hey, thanks for the feedback - I'm actually pretty glad you found the levels easy as I'd intended for them to start easy and scale up to difficult over time - definitely learning that layouts need to be tailored to the mechanics moreso than aesthetics though - I am really bad for labouring for hrs over rooms because I want them to look authentic then having to change it later to account for enemy behaviour. :)

Really solid cutscenes man, and I like the villian so far. Though, I say the levels are a tad simplistic and easy. I'd suggest focusing on making the layouts good for patrolling enemies. But so far so good man.

Also to get more attention, I advise adding a thumbnail to the finished version, just swap the file names 'screen' with a png under 350kb
