I have repeatedly played the tower chapter as it is one of the best 3D level designs in the workshop. I hate to admit that I only have 4500+ hours playing l4d2, so there are likely a couple maps unseen, but from what I have, this is one of the best ones. Be kind.

Seriously, get some buddies and just give this a try on Normal. If you're fed up by the end of the 2nd chapter, then it's not for you. But if you find yourself wanting to continue, then you'll probably have a good time. Just set aside some time for it; even without restarts this campaign can be LONG.
Now, that all sounds pretty bad, but I actually LIKE this campaign. It can feel a little bullshit on your first playthrough, but once you know its tricks it can become a fun challenge. There's usually enough weapons and items spaced out to keep you going, and the weird geometry of some levels can be fun to run around and fight zombies in. I also like the "story" of the campaign; the survivors stumble across some facility in the middle of the woods and try to find refuge in it, only to be tortured by a sadistic AI. I wouldn't recommend many play it on Expert, though, unless you have a good team and really like pain. Advanced is already a good enough challenge. Play it with friends or even randoms if you can. While players can easily learn to avoid the turrets and lasers and shoot the Whitakers to get rid of them, bots will just have their health drained needlessly.
If you're expecting something like Questionable Ethics, well, it's SORTA like that. Definitely not as balanced as QE, though, both in gameplay and visuals. Whereas QE does mostly feel like some sort of big testing laboratory, the environments in CC look kind of slapdash and randomly thrown together. It's also a lot less balanced, with really long levels that throw tons of infected at you. Some levels will spawn unavoidable Witches in your path, or lock you in a room for several minutes to face nonstop Boomers and hordes. And don't get me started on the lasers, turrets, and Whitakers that will shoot you and drain your health.
Damn, don't care about the comments saying they're bad... the map is just difficult
