That's exactly what it is.
"Visually, it is a reskinned Dwarven Greatsword with a particle effect."
I worked on this right after the creation tool came out primarily. I mostly made it to teach myself some stuff and for my own use. Later I decided to upload it.
When the creation tool first dropped, it was more difficult to drop your own assets into the creation tool, especially for someone with my limited skills. I'm sure now there's a wealth of community documentation for how to put lots of stuff into Skyrim now.
!
I am not actively making anything for Skyrim anymore. I don't see how console commanding the Sword or Mace is problematic. If you're modding, you're already fiddling with the game so using a console command isn't going to violate any rules. If I remember correctly, the lookup for the sword is "darkness blade" in the console.
Making the Mace transform was more thematic and a more elegant solution than putting a powerful sword on a table in Whiterun.
Only with console commands.
Is it possible to have this greatsword AND the mace of Molag Bal at the same time without console commands or not?

I uploaded them all to the nexus.
I may someday add a 1H version if my interest becomes renewed, but for the foreseeable future that is on hold. I can probably upload my stuff to the nexus though.
The mace is a quest reward from House of Horrors which you can do after level 10. It starts in Markarth.
Great mod by the way!!! :)
I would totally use red!
That would be a good idea thematically, but it would require me to do some scripting I'm not entirely comfortable with doing without really gaining anything from a function standpoint.
A few posts ago I outlined rough steps to retexturing items, but if you are brand new you should consult some youtube item creation videos.
You can always change it back into the mace, or just console command the sword to yourself.
First thing you need is a program to unpack the existing textures and meshes, I use BSAopt. Then you unpack the mesh and the textures of what you want to recolor. Then edit the textures with an image editiing program like Photoshop, I suggest watching some tutorials on YouTube for this step because there's lots of little tricks to get your textures looking good. Place your mesh and texture files in a folder something similar to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\skyrim\Data\meshes\weapons\weaponname. Then you need to use the program Nifskope to edit the mesh to assign your textures to the mesh. Then use the Creation Kit to create the item (just duplicate whatever you edited and give it a new name) and assign the new mesh to it.
You can acquire a Mace of Malog Bal at level 10 by doing the House of Horrors quest in the town Markarth.
I've been spending most of my game time playing some newer releases and haven't been working on the 1 hand. It's on the backburner for the foreseeable future.
I'll get to it at some point, but I want to do it right and improve over what I've already done even if it's a month or so down the road. If I did a half-assed job I wouldn't be getting what I want to get out of making these since I haven't played Skyrim for some time.
