There's some interesting questions there! When would The Lost get enough value out of The D3 to balance out the risk of losing Holy Mantle?

I think for my own runs I'll just use the debug console to give The D3 to The Lost. Sounds like it might be fun!
Besides, there are plenty of mods out there that put fresh and exciting unique items into the game. I wanted to see if I could make something balanced and "Isaac-like" enough to stand alongside the base-game items as a useful addition, without overpowering the existing flavor or interrupting the themes I like so much about the base game. That's an equally meaningful design challenge, if you ask me.
@Dracologist Lua is very easy to tinker with. Just hack someone's code by changing some values, try modify this mod so it drops two items instead of one for example.
