Trucks on cargo were also a small issue. They would get to the dock, then turn away from the dock to despawn. When i moved the road back as far as it would go, they started turning into the dock.
However, the fix in in the video no longer works. Move it will no longer grab the ship points. However, while fiddling with the road once I move it up a bit and farther back passenger ships started spawning immediately. I just compensated for the boats docking far off by using the prop dock to extend outward.
So it seems road placement is very important to these docks. It's not a drop and play asset, it takes some time and patience to tweek it. .
When I turn off the dock, this all stops.
Love your work! However Passenger ships are spawning right on top of the dock when leaving the city, even if you move the nodes further away from the asset. Is there a solution for that? Thanks in advance.
I discovered the problem on this... the ship path itself looked fine, but the ships for some reason were trying to take a shortcut and getting hung up on a strip of land ....
that building is very useful for build a port. so we can build port with custom building and prop in there.
so. how if the train port like that? I think that is a great.
I wait it.
However I think I've noticed a small problem:
When it rains Cargo Dock texture change to a "wet" version but Regular Dock stays "dry" and I don't know yet how Passenger Dock reacts. (It's a small issue and maybe it's just me?)
I know Seenu is always sunny, but I wanted to let you know this texture prblm might happen ;)
Much Thanks!
But nevermind all that cuz my game crashed critically, lol. It's a real shame, your videos was what got me in the urge of revisiting this game, unfortunately without a liquid nitrogen cooled quantum computer I can't seem to handle all the mods I want/need. Anyways, love the Seenu vids. I'll have to live vicariously through watching you build I guess.
In the case of Seenu I simply placed Ronxy's breakwater concrete slabs to hide the edges of the terrain and then put down this DIY pack hidden under those using the MoveIt mod.
In the video featured above I show a little bit how this process works.
Good luck!
thanks for all you r effort that you have invested into this project.
