Countries just disappear even a few years before the charlemagne start date, it is basically just shattered world but without the customisation options.
@Tristanschuster.04 Probably your best bet is to edit the title histories, making sure you know the holder's ID from the char files first.

I really love the concept of the mod ! But my only main issue is that for when I started at 719 AD most of the Map looked similar to a shattered Europe map so I wanted to ask how you could give a character land so that I can make the map more accurate to the time

Still works perfectly as of April 2021.

Compatible with latest version, and if they did update it again for some reason it still most likely would be.
@77th | FireGods_69 Huh? That's not even outside the game's date range unless you're playing pure vanilla.

@lanceg02 Considering how recently the author's been around, I suspect it's current.
lanceg02 3 Jun, 2020 @ 11:35am
what version is this compatible with?

The funny thing is im using this mod to go 10 years in the past to play as a certain King who died in 1060:steamfacepalm:
Restless  [author] 24 Apr, 2020 @ 6:12pm
Sorry I should have, done now.
XxELYSIAN_PATRIOTxX 22 Apr, 2020 @ 8:33pm
Oh. I was wondering why, playing as Byzzies, the Varangian Guard had 16,500 men in the 1066 start.

As other commenters have said, it was this mod. Please make a mention of it in the mod description, this is borderline game-breaking.

Ah your A saint.
Sorry for my grammer :(:GDHard:

BC?
fishy9s 8 Jan, 2020 @ 3:28pm
Can you make a mod for BC
Restless  [author] 11 Oct, 2019 @ 6:32pm
The only thing then is that they'd be even bigger for 867 or 769
Voided 11 Oct, 2019 @ 8:23am
I would assume the mercenary size scales with how many years have passed since the start date
Restless  [author] 10 Oct, 2019 @ 7:15pm
@CodexLight That's interesting. Maybe there's a formula that only accounts for certain dates?
@CodexLight Huh. Why is that?
Voided 9 Oct, 2019 @ 10:16am
This mod will cause mercenary size to go out of proportions at later dates. (If you start in, for example 950 AD. mercenary bands are 10k-30k men ) You can reload the game without the mod as a fix after starting the game.

i'm likely only going to use this mod once but i feel i should give it an try none the less
Caustic Soda 28 Aug, 2019 @ 11:09am
it's still working up till today

1. I'm not sure, I haven't played CK2 in quite a while, though it should be as the changes are small and unless they overhaul the code for dates it should still work. This also means it should be fine for other mods, in terms of compatibility.

2. That's a very good question. I believe options that generate rulers for each county would in fact fill out the map which is often empty in parts of earlier dates. If not, they do get generated upon starting, but I believe that would work.
Osariusz 7 Feb, 2019 @ 12:27pm
I have two questions:
1. Is it working with 3.0 ck2 version?
2. If so, will shattered world option make it really playable - with all the map filled with rulers?
Restless  [author] 30 Jun, 2017 @ 6:10pm
You can also see if you look at their character that they don't have any county titles, so don't actually hold any land.
Danwar 30 Jun, 2017 @ 5:44pm
Hey, according to the screenshot the map doesn't include the Roman empire in earlier startdates, but if you go to the history of the Byzantine Empire title, you can see the Roman emperors going all the way back to Augustus. Idk if that's already in, but i'm posting this anyways.

Never seen that before, anyway can't think of many things more boring than playing till 9999 AD.
sergentben3 14 Apr, 2017 @ 2:09am
It was existing since July 2016 ^^

About the problem to change the date, you must change one day on the future to comme back one yeau on the past, it's hard coded.
Restless  [author] 28 Mar, 2017 @ 10:14pm
Do your mean bookmark? This doesn't add bookmarks, it let's you change the years months and days by clicking the buttons you usually would. Basically how it works for 1066-1337 but for the entire 1-1453 AD.
kiFFix 25 Mar, 2017 @ 3:49am
mh nice idea, but i cant change the start date :S eather there are no any other startdates before the normal dates available. Is there anything to do before i use this mod?
Restless  [author] 20 Mar, 2017 @ 1:05pm
Sorry, don't understand. Are you saying an old mod you got rid of is still there? If so, you are probably subscribed to it so as well as deleting it from the mod folder you also have to unsubscribe from it on the steam workshop.
Bragger 5000 20 Mar, 2017 @ 12:02am
i Know about it staying before this
Bragger 5000 20 Mar, 2017 @ 12:01am
Ok now it is but still has some of my old mod i got rid of i know about it staying part
Restless  [author] 19 Mar, 2017 @ 10:32pm
Usually if that happens for any mod it's cause you have too many mods, I think the max is 30 or so, if you have any more new mods won't show up. Check and if you have too many get rid of the ones you don't use.
Bragger 5000 19 Mar, 2017 @ 5:55pm
Mod doesn't show up in the startup
Robotx2300 17 Mar, 2017 @ 11:27pm
In honor of saint patricks day, lets conquer rome as an irish pagan.
Restless  [author] 17 Mar, 2017 @ 10:55pm
It isn't a content mod, it changes the selectable times. Simmer down mate.
Oblivion 17 Mar, 2017 @ 10:53pm
whats the point of making a mod if the dates don't even have playable characters for every county?
Restless  [author] 17 Mar, 2017 @ 10:43pm
You want me to fill in history for every province and dynasty from 1-1453 AD? You can if you want to, but I'm good.
Isaac Clarke 17 Mar, 2017 @ 10:15pm
Well, you should've at least done a extended timeline.
Osariusz 17 Mar, 2017 @ 12:58pm
:ambition:
Social 15 Mar, 2017 @ 9:42am
regardless, its quite amusing to start at year 50
Restless  [author] 14 Mar, 2017 @ 11:09pm
Actually if you change the time a bit a lot stays the same, and in just about all dates there's at least one playable character. Anyway, just to muck around with until HIP gets patched :steammocking:
SerephinaSingh 14 Mar, 2017 @ 6:28pm
Yeah
Guren Gaaze 14 Mar, 2017 @ 5:31pm
Honestly... that kinda defeats the purpose of wanting to play at an earlier date (if you don't want to fill it in with history)
