Sadly.
Thank you Ryza for making it, regardless.
Peace. (Y)
P.S: If you want to recreate this feel free to do so, i won't stop you nor will i provide you with files because all backups are deleted and are gone for good.
This way you will use your tools normally while harvesting stuff, but hitting something like a wall will actually repair your tools.
This works for tools, weapons, etc. And armor is invincible as well, since the server setting works correctly for armors.
Why does this work? I've noticed that durability setting is borked only partially, as in it does work for cases like armor or tools hitting walls and ground. The setting is ignored for actual harvesting for some reason.
I hope this helps you guys, I found it on some site while searching for a way to somehowa make the game playable for me in the absence of this mod :)
This sucks for me, because so does the 1,000 stack mod. lol
If the mod does not work that means you got a other mod that uses the same items table something we modders can't do anything about as of yet, maybe in the future if they support it.
You can get it to work if you make sure it's the last mod loaded. However, it will then break any other mod that changes the item tables (Like Armor Loot, for example). That's an issue with the current Dev Kit and the overall game design. No idea if they are going to fix that. The only way to have multiple mods that alter the item tables is to combine those mods into one mod. This should really be done by the authors collaborating with each other to build and release a new (combined) mod.
Or, you could familiarize yourself with the Dev Kit and do it yourself. However, uploading that new, combined mod to the workshop without the express permission of the mod authors is not something you should do.
And thus I actually went to have a look-see in the DevKit myself.
I've actually made two mods with alternative ways to prevent durabililty loss from using a weapon/tool or getting hit for armor.
I've changed how they're calculated myself.
Mine won't be as robust, but they are compatible with said mods that add armor, weapons, tools and such.
I've mostly just made them for myself, but since there's a lot of ppl asking in this modpage I might as well tell.
Basically, Armorloot adds a chance for all armor to spawn in loot chests. This includes things like the Zamorian Dancer and Relic Hunter armor sets. Installing your mod after Armorloot breaks that spawn and reduces the AR on the items so as to make them useless. I hope to be able to detail this more fully in a PM.
