Yes, sadly Better Smoke conflicts with this mod.

- Good work mate, but I see one problem in battles. When I use hellcanons of chaos, with projectiles disabled option and your mod enabled, I cant see their projectiles (hell cannon use souls, but they are invisible). Its so bad. really, dont want to use projectile option, dont like the trails they do. Plz fix this. Thx for this mod, btw its excellent.

I like to see arrow trails but just trails you know
not the colorful ones when firing hagbane and stuff
allthough it makes sense when firing flaming arrows to see trails because well, they burn.
on the other hand thats just magic i suppose, like the swiftshiver and hagbane ones
and therefore it would be nice if it only triggered on the impact
but i like your mod as well and it didnt crash my game running it with no more laser arrow together
so great job :)

*artillery is also disabled = shots are invisible if you disable projectile trails

same happened with a lot of the spells at release, they where completely invisible if you turned this option off

Inconsistencies in the sense that some artillery is also disabled if you turn them off because they entirely consist of projectile trails and CA turns them off with the option (I reenabled them).

The Wood Elves have 2 things: Projectile trails, which I left on for the special arrows (swiftshiver, hagbane, ...), because I think it fits them, although I can see why people dislike them; and the model of the arrow itself (which is glowing in vanilla) - if you turn off the default projectile trails (the grey ones) it looks very silly with this glow on the arrows.

If you don't like the colorful laser battles of the WE, my mod is not for you sadly, but I think there was another mod that disabled those.

so what does this mod do exactly when you say fix "inconsistencies"
because I was looking for a mod that removes the color show when firing with my wood elves
and you implemented the "no more laser arrows" in your mod
but in the description it says "projectiles trails kept on special arrows" and later it says "removing the white glow"
What can i expect to see now?

What exactly do you mean? I can just disable them but I am not aware of a way to reduce them if this is your question

Could you maybe update this? I like the Welf arrows but there is stuff missing now like the portal in which seafang comes through for wulfrik. I hate that they combined the arrow trails with stuff like magic effects

Its happen in my dwarf campaing in every map .currently i fight in a custom map mod which add 80 maps to the game.still no trail.Also i tried custom match in menu.Is something releated with maps? Maybe sometihng with mod conflict.is this competible with more smoke and fire mod?

Weird, since they didn't change anything for ranged units the patch shouldn't have broken the mod. Does this occur on normal map settings or maybe only on chaos maps?

i meant regular Glade Guard arrows..they dont have any enchancements like Hagbane or Starfire but they glow somehow green when you turn off trails by default..and thx for the tip but i dont want to remove these magic arrows either

@Karelian: I think they fixed a few trails, but not all and it's very inconsistent in the current game. The Glade Guard have PT for their Hagbane and Starfire variants because those are kind of magical arrows and I think they should have one (even if they are way over the top and lazily implemented, Bretonnian flame arrows look so much better...). If there are trails that you don't like that I see necessary (or the other way around) you can download this tool [sourceforge.net], open the file and change the line for the projectile trail. You need to change the column "always shop projectile trail" or something like that.

@Knight of Roses: It fixes the option "No Projectile Trails" in the gameplay option to not disable magic effects, rocket flame particles, etc

ye actualy its ot a big deal to have trail for treb.More important thing is why the hell CA not fix this issue by default.i mean when you turn off PT all magic lost his effect (like fireball.commet,more) whic is game breaking for me..anyway thx to you we dont have to wait lazy ca to fix little but most important thing in gfx options.BTW is that stupid wood elf glade guard trails off? i saw you keep other magical arrows but i dont think glade guard have mag arrow at all..yet they got ugliest pt ever in the game:)

Another big issue I have with giving the trebuchet projectile trails would be the inconsistency - why should the trebuchet has pt and the catapult not? If I give all artillery their pt that have (more or less) unique pt it would get inconsistent (organ guns don't have unique pt, cannons have; trebuchets have, catapults have not, etc).

They are indeed supposed to be off. While there may be parts of the stone and dust that may come off at a launch it would never be as visible as in the game.

i dont know trebuchet trails supposed to be off but .i find having trails of a giant rock kinda realistic all these dust and little pieces of rocks...better than no trail imo.little suggestion:)
