Easy to change the base game value, it I did it. Just go find the file GlobalParameters.xml in your data folder using a decent text editor and find the word" Range" and change the value from 3 to whatever. I just played a game and confirm it works fine.

Does this work for anyone with current CIV updates? I cant get it working. It is installed, activated and it does currently nothing. :-(

Six tiles is the extrem distance wish you required to have a perfect CityHexagon range, otherwise ou may lose tile. Thats why he would never benn on worksphop.
So even if city can't work more 3 tiles, It force AI have better City spacment wish could make conquest more interesting and may AI City more effecient...

The purpose of the Mod is so that cities are farther apart, but still work three tiles in each direction.

For example, I place cities 6 tiles apart so that each city can work the 3 toward each other. The AI places their cities 2 or 3 tiles apart so when you attack you have to deal with multiple city defense, which is annoying, but worse the AI cripples itself with crappy cities with only a few workable tiles, thus creating unhappiness and barbarians. I have attacked a civ many times only to see it already destroyed by barbarians it created from poor spacing.

This is NOT intended for your cities to work 6 tiles in each direction, thus placing cities 12 tiles apart. That would be silly :steammocking:

No problem. Having work a lot to it. Many lines modified on GlobalParameter.xml don't work.
It's sure, we have to modify DLL.

Actually yes. I have released on request (nexus) an up to 6 but unless making a city formation in star, we begin to lose tiles. And I do not speak about the IA. 5 Tiles may be good think for largest map like 230*115.
On the other hand I manage to push no more than three the working and purchase price of workers.I have Tried to change
Global parameter nothing.
Game effect or Modifiers like CITY_PLOT_YIELDS too nothing.
I am thus surrounded in my work.

It's not 'worthless'. As the AI will space their cities a bit better with this mod. Workers can work tiles 3 in each direction, so if the AI is placing cities every 4th tile there's a lot of overlap, and likely a lot of lost efficiency from the AI.

This mod makes spaces between cities to minimum 5 spaces up from 3. Not range of what ties u can work right?

It's a nice attempt.... Worthless though if citizens don't work the tiles.Good luck with fixing this. Want it so bad.

make AI Space there cities and take more place. Especialy on Huge map or Monstuous 240*150

It does not appear that citizens work the extra tiles?
So I dont understand the value of the mod.
