Interesting puzzle. I liked it.
disco-vorcha 28. jan. 2014 kl. 14:57
Ahaha yes, I was way overthinking it. Got it now!
disco-vorcha 28. jan. 2014 kl. 14:46
I dealt with the turrets by grabbing them from behind the bridges and dropping them in whatever I could (laser, pit, goo), mainly for convenience, haha. But I'm stuck on the third room. I'm sure the solution will seem incredibly obvious to me when I get it, but for now I'm stumped!

Fun... but all the millions of elements showed things down! I guess there are a lot more things behind the scenes working to keep flicking the light bridges on and off.

Now this one has more puzzle solving than the usual ones. This one required a bit of strategy and thinking to get through. It's funny how the exit door simply requires a cube but all the work you have to do to obtain that simple cube :D Good job.

There is just way too much noise in this chamber. Just way too much stuff.

Try my map?

That is INSANE!!!
in a good way

The alternative solutions pointed out in your video have now been fixed, the second room with the bounce gel proved quite the challenge to make completely foolproof until a really obvious solution became clear in, what I can only describe as, a eureka moment. Thanks again.

Hey you,

I play this map many times because I tested different things. Unfortunatly I got different results. oO ...öh, I haver again. Watch the video. ^^

Mesmerizing.

Brilliant, thanks, that helped a fair bit. Just updated this one, it turned out there were plenty of alternative ways of doing that room I hadn't accounted for at all so far (chalk it up to being one of my earliest chambers) which have now been fixed too.

Here you go. Gave me an excuse to learn what the "console" was: http://temp-share.com/show/KdP03a18h/188ef4ae68d4da4ff3cb1fa2e9b6e9e3
DropTheDodongo 23. aug. 2013 kl. 12:32
I'll try to make a .dem like you said for the other one.
nicklonium  [ophavsmand] 23. aug. 2013 kl. 12:24
Where are your portals placed? The ceiling? The walls? I remember thinking this was a potential problem when I was originally building the chamber but it didn't appear to be possible or was way too difficult to pull off compared to the intended solution.
DropTheDodongo 23. aug. 2013 kl. 12:14
I just got as close to the angled panel as possible and jumped. I figured that was wrong because of how unlikely the chance for success was, measured with the risk of falling into the Goo below.
nicklonium  [ophavsmand] 23. aug. 2013 kl. 12:07
Where specifically are you running/jumping from? It seems like it may be possible if the player is in the right place, it's just knowing where that right place is.
DropTheDodongo 23. aug. 2013 kl. 11:32
pressure button
nicklonium  [ophavsmand] 23. aug. 2013 kl. 2:11
The pedestal button or the pressure button?
DropTheDodongo 22. aug. 2013 kl. 22:44
Relatively simple, but the fear of getting shot and losing all my progress increased the tension a bit. I actually got mauled by bullet hail twice, but not enough to kill me. Also, in the room with the Goo, I'm not sure if I was just supposed to run and jump to hit the button on the wall, but I made it on my third try (after almost dying twice).
Xbeekeeper 15. aug. 2013 kl. 10:42
1st room had no idea what i supposed to do?
kwyjibo 1981 13. juli 2013 kl. 21:18
Pretty good level. The only thing I didn't like was the turrets talked too much.
nicklonium  [ophavsmand] 21. juni 2013 kl. 3:55
Thanks, this is definitely my most animated chamber. While it can be a bit off putting having so much going on in one room, I still quite like how it turned out given I had no idea if the player would just die all the time because of the randomised bouncing ball. That other method you mentioned is used in my most recent chamber, Xenon, to produce an effect of sorts, although it's not an effect the player interacts with at all.
Skyferret 21. juni 2013 kl. 0:07
Well I must say, that was interesting. A bit of a thinker when you go about it in a logical way. Thumbs up.

When I saw the light bridges flashing, but couldn't see anything controlling them, I thought to myself "I bet he has something outside the box". So after I finished, I noclipped outside and saw the bouncing ball on the button. My first thought was maybe a tractor beam pushing a cube on a button, and the button reverses the beam, and a persistent polarity switch causing an on/off cycle. But the way you've done it is better because it's more randomized.
8MMW 20. juni 2013 kl. 5:05
It would be good if not the turrets and flashing bridges. Except for that, it was a nice puzzle.
tacticalBOVINE 17. juni 2013 kl. 20:40
another good chamber man as far as the puzzle goes but i was not a fan of the seizure inducing flashing that was was in every room. if you edit the cheating methods mentioned in the comments and change the aesthetics to be more friendly to the eye then i believe you have a very good chamber on your hands

Can't believe I missed something so obvious, thanks.
Blue 16. juni 2013 kl. 14:26
I use a portal to jump out of the highest possible place in the wall, I land on the blue gel that just dropped down, via the gel I land on the button which drops the cube. I don't use the light bridge or the 2nd pedestral button or the panel at all.
nicklonium  [ophavsmand] 15. juni 2013 kl. 10:47
This one was always a complicated chamber. I'd really like to know how Repelsteeltje got through without using the angled panel in the last room, I'm sure it's possible but I can't work out how. Strafe jumping isn't something I'm that familiar with either, I'm sure it's something I've done before but I've never heard its name. Could you elaborate, TonToE?
TonToE 14. juni 2013 kl. 20:39
In the third room I could use the bridge to strafe jump on the button spawner.
Blue 9. juni 2013 kl. 15:28
Very nice chamber. It is a mess, but also looking cool! I also did not have to use the diagonal panel to finish the room.
SkyRoots 8. juni 2013 kl. 21:38
This was another enjoyable level.
Yeah, the blue gel and diagonal light bridge room was quite tricky.
nicklonium  [ophavsmand] 6. juni 2013 kl. 4:10
It's bit of both really, possibly a red herring, possibly an alternate way of finishing that room. Thanks for playing and for the feedback on my chambers so far, it's much appreciated.
Anderung 5. juni 2013 kl. 21:45
Another clever set of rooms - however, the room with the jump gel would actually benefit from not having that diagonal panel to aim the light bridge through. I mean, unless it is an intentional red herring that LOOKS like a good idea, but actually is intended to make the room more diffcult, in which case, you succeeded! :-)

GREAT JOB NICE DESIGN FUN

Prepare to eat your wallet. The entire chamber's been tested several times. What exactly are you struggling with in there?
Also, thanks for playing Tater, I'll be sure to check out your collection when I've got a bit more time on my hands.
JBizzle 24. aug. 2012 kl. 8:11
If you can complete this then I will eat my wallet. Needs more testing (room 3 is incompletable)
Fallen One 3. aug. 2012 kl. 16:20
Great map. Alot of work into that one.
Tater Collection Thanks 4 Creating.
