1.0 update?! I Miss my industrial rock!
Thunder Soul 22 Aug, 2018 @ 12:25pm
Any chance of you adding Twisted Insurrection and Mental Omega tracks to the pack?
CrazyKristi  [author] 20 Aug, 2018 @ 7:40am
would at best be a RA2 tracks or the C&C 80's style theme.
wind-up mouse 20 Aug, 2018 @ 2:34am
Do any of the songs have a s a x because I heard sax from the music and I've been going crazy trying to find the track and I dunno if it's because of this mod or like call of cthulhu or something
Pesto Posta 15 Aug, 2018 @ 9:54am
Fantastic, and thanks for the quick response.
I figured it was non critical since the game ran just fine with the error. XD
which I am very glad as I don't know what I would do with out Hell March periodically blasting. :D
CrazyKristi  [author] 14 Aug, 2018 @ 11:30pm
from 16th onwards till the 26th :)
CrazyKristi  [author] 14 Aug, 2018 @ 11:30pm
should be fixed next update. From 16th onwards I can't fix anything. Also a bit annoying how the XML files switch arbitrarily between pascalcase and camelcase :) This was a case of a lacking bit of camelcase.
CrazyKristi  [author] 14 Aug, 2018 @ 11:26pm
hmmm. This looks like an error in the mod definition file. Noncritical apparently. This is why I put in the description that making XML files case sensitive is annoying as hell :) Especially if the documentation on that sometimes is lacking :)
Pesto Posta 14 Aug, 2018 @ 3:42pm
Just a heads up since the update I have gotten this error.

Attempt to use string targetversion to refer to field targetVersion in type Verse.ModMetaData+ModMetaDataInternal; xml tags are now case-sensitive. XML: <ModMetaData><name>Kane's Jukebox A18</name><author>CrazyKristi</author><description>Adds a few CnC themed songs to RimWorld.</description><targetversion>0.18.0</targetversion></ModMetaData>

@flyinggekko and hinanawi-sama: both songs added :)
HinanawiTenko 10 Aug, 2018 @ 11:31am
I 2nd Valves. Its a good track for general, non-combat use.

Also C&C 80's Style is from Tib Dawn's Covert Ops Expansion.

It WAS in a....obcure release of Sole Survivor. A strategy-based Battle Royale style game. (if you played it like I did, you'd see why I call it that)
FlyingGekko 22 May, 2018 @ 5:56am
This is awesome! Any chance you could add "valves" (Tiberium Sun) and "Bigfoot" (Red Alert 1)? That would make this mod even more perfect! :)
Jeffman12 8 May, 2018 @ 12:37am
Looks like my iTunes playlist, but with less Frank Klepacki.

love this mod <3 brings nostalgia

> as long as Pajit Pai doesn't screw it up in the USA)

Too true, we're boned.
CrazyKristi  [author] 22 Nov, 2017 @ 3:25pm
thanks :) I see some differences and some overlap. prolly personal preference of the specific modder. But as I said, anyone is free to mod as they like. I am not the one to dictate others. Its a free interwebs (still, as long as Pajit Pai doesn't screw it up in the USA).
Lord Hand 22 Nov, 2017 @ 8:20am
I actually prefer your version, greatly. I was just asking because that's one of the creators of the Tiberium Rim mod, was wondering if there was some kind of overlap or if there was different functionality between the two, that's all.
CrazyKristi  [author] 21 Nov, 2017 @ 11:37pm
not that one. And I am not in touch with the creator of this, so. Neither do I care much. If he makes a better version than I do, I say power to him :P
CrazyKristi  [author] 21 Nov, 2017 @ 3:03pm
the other is the old a17 version. steam auto tagged it wrongly though
Lord Hand 21 Nov, 2017 @ 2:30pm
Thanks so much for the speedy update! I was wondering why there are now two mods like this though?
CrazyKristi  [author] 20 Nov, 2017 @ 6:30am
no problem :)
Gnox 20 Nov, 2017 @ 5:52am
Thank you for keeping the mod updated
CrazyKristi  [author] 20 Nov, 2017 @ 5:14am
updated the mod to B18
CrazyKristi  [author] 18 Nov, 2017 @ 11:36am
hehe thanks :)
a siege of herons 18 Nov, 2017 @ 11:25am
love this music , mashed tib and cathulu mod together, its wonderfully alien
CrazyKristi  [author] 18 Nov, 2017 @ 11:05am
it is not updated yet for B18 :) Will do it soon
a siege of herons 18 Nov, 2017 @ 10:37am
getting some error in the new update to V18
CrazyKristi  [author] 16 Nov, 2017 @ 9:45am
more nostalgia to come soon. Gonna throw in some firestorm and original tibdawn soundtracks
Lord Hand 16 Nov, 2017 @ 12:38am
This is a pretty amazing mod and some of these tracks I haven't heard in twenty or so years. 'Do it up' is classic 95' nostalgia for me.
CrazyKristi  [author] 9 Oct, 2017 @ 2:51pm
hmmm, you bring some valid points. lets have a talk
HinanawiTenko 9 Oct, 2017 @ 10:21am
None actually come to mind, probably due to sheer age (Havent touched Renegade since '07). Don't shurk away from C&C3, it has 1 or 2 tracks that fit the theme made here with TibRim. I'm also questioning the RA2 tracks added, a few are CLEARLY Soviet themed (HM being an example)
CrazyKristi  [author] 9 Oct, 2017 @ 12:09am
@Hinanawi: I do know some interesting C&C 95 tracks, and will probably add them sometime. Same for the Renegade soundtracks. If you've got any suggestions, feel free to add me so we can discuss them.

@zombie:XML basically just is a form of syntax. Not complex at all. A simple tutorial should teach you the ins and outs within 15 minutes.
HinanawiTenko 8 Oct, 2017 @ 9:56pm
I find it interesting you even bothered to add RA2 buuuuut I'm not complaining. I find the RA2 soundtrack the best of Klepachi's work. Did you not get any C&C 95 tracks or did they have bad bitrates? And I'm surprized some of the original Renegade tracks never got added.

< Obvious C&C nut

OK, but if the mod's directory is the root, why don't the SongDefs have lines like 'Sounds/destroy' or 'Sounds/link'? I think saying that I have the barest of familiarity with xml was a mistake. I should rephrase that as "I literally have no experience with it aside from a very small amount of exposure to its use in web pages." I have enough education with programming languages that I understand the concept of absolute paths and relative paths, but this doesn't jive with my paradigm at all. I appreciate the fact that you even bothered to respond to my curiousity; I admit that this is only slightly related to your mod at all and responding to me is at best, a courtesy.
CrazyKristi  [author] 18 Aug, 2017 @ 10:59pm
the sounds folder in the mod directory. The mod takes the mod's directory as the root.
Z0mb:e 18 Aug, 2017 @ 8:05am
I only have the barest of familiarity with xml, but what I'm wondering is very simple: how do the def files work with the file path? I can see in the Core SongDefs the clipPaths refer to 'Songs/Relax' or 'Songs/Tension' but I can't find a folder called 'Songs' anywhere in the RimWorld folder. And your mod obviously just uses the 'Sounds' folder as the root, because literally your clipPaths are simply the name of the song file. But I am really not understanding how one defines the root or even if you have to. How does the xml know where your shit is?
daishi 30 Jul, 2017 @ 8:26am
thanks, I'll try it :)
CrazyKristi  [author] 30 Jul, 2017 @ 7:41am
thanks :) i easily could, but rimworld modding is quite easy. And pretty much easiest of it all is adding music. If you take a look at my mod files (the id of the workshop page corresponds to the rimworld workshop mod folder) you can easily figure it out. Just copy and paste it to a new folder in the rimworld/mods folder and make it :)
daishi 30 Jul, 2017 @ 4:35am
nice mod!
just a question, would it be possible to create a mod with just the music of tiberium dawn? I could provide you with the sound files :) I would do it myself, but I have no idea about rimworld modding :/
CrazyKristi  [author] 22 Jul, 2017 @ 1:08pm
np :) just pointing out the main menu thing because i don't know how rimworld will behave without a main menu theme defined. If it will throw just an error or warning in the log, or a fullblown error which welps your entire mod loading order
Integrated Sandwich 22 Jul, 2017 @ 11:35am
Cheers for the answer!
CrazyKristi  [author] 22 Jul, 2017 @ 10:03am
its possible. In the core folder is a file which controls the rimjob music files. Just remove it, and you're good to go. Might have to define a new main menu theme, but hey, shouldn't be too hard ;)
Integrated Sandwich 22 Jul, 2017 @ 5:58am
Would it be possible to nix the Rimworld soundtrack in order to *completely* replace everything with C&C ones?
PhoenixMastM 18 Jul, 2017 @ 7:23pm
A www, I wanted Mechanical Man. :P
Ashalia 4 Jul, 2017 @ 8:16am
ok thank you ;)
CrazyKristi  [author] 3 Jul, 2017 @ 11:32pm
it doesn't really fit any rimworld scene in my opinion. But you can easily add it yourself. If you take a look how my mod is structured, you can easily add it in by copying it to an own mod folder in rimworld/mods and then editing the def files.
