Why wont it let me build them?

Great mod and all but they never attack. Once i got an army of them and attacked a whiterun guard they ignore the fact he was attacking me.

sandyman, you can smelt those down into dwarven ingots, however I think when I finalize this thing I'll put a lot more thought into components, probably make a few custom ones for the big guys

Everything *seems* to at least be functional now, with the exception of Skyrim's mass pathfinding not being very good if you build fifty of them

Also they use greater soul gems for the spheres again, IDK why I put daedra hearts in there

ya cool idea, I just am literally clueless why u chose the ingredients u did. Every heard of dwarven metal ignots and scraps, there is a bunch of it too and seems like a good use of it!

your mod was really great, and if you can make the Dwarven Guardian to Dwarven Guardian Master will be more greatful because its not strong enought even in the level adept. Just opinion and hope you dont mind. once again, i love this mod

Shouldn't dwemer gyros be made outa some dwemer ingons and a soulgem or something?

I had absolutely no idea how scripting worked, but I think I've got enough of it down. Now you can have unlimited guardians, they are less powerful (although still a match for whiterun's guards). When destroyed they drop parts you can smelt down and rebuild them with.

In a scripting error I made them self replicating which had hilarious results, I think I might make that a craftable recipe, "self replicating spiders" that eat all the metal in the land and make copies of themselves :D

This mod is really fun! The guardians are almost cute in ball form, and its cool to see how they move and work without having to fight them. I prefer the day long summon, it makes it really useful and worth the effort to get one. Also, having around for a day is a great experience, makes it feel like a companion and useful. It fits into the Skyrim experience really well; the cost and gain are balanced, it seems to work with the lore, and doesn’t seem out of place. The only problems I have with it are small such as it simply disappearing when destroyed, how it is summoned, a few pathway hiccups and how easy it is to learn to craft it. I'm fine with the mod as is, I just think it would be more immersive if they left a corpse when they died and had a different summoning effect that was less magical/more physical. Also, I think it'd be awesome if you had to do a quest, or spend a skill point in smithing(a tangent off of dwarfen smithing on the inside of the anvil constellation)

I've been working on a similar mod. Having issues with the scripting though. Trying to make it as a follower instead of just a summon is harder than you'd think.

very nice, u should make it to craft all dwemer creatures
Override367  [author] 9 Feb, 2012 @ 10:56pm
It isn't destroyable? I must have changed something before uploading it.

Once I get a day off I'll put some proper effort into making this better
Space Coconut 9 Feb, 2012 @ 9:45pm
beat me to it lol. Time to tweak yours to fit what I was trying to do lol
Bethesda Marmot  [developer] 9 Feb, 2012 @ 12:33pm
I'd suggest you make it last only an hour or two, and be destroyable. The player can always craft a bunch of these things.

If you could get it to leave a corpse that can be looted for parts, that would be sweet too.
SOEL 9 Feb, 2012 @ 6:13am
I LOVE the idea that it's craftable... but couldn't you make it last a little longer, or be recharged by a soul gem, or just break down and you have to craft another one with the scraps (same when it gets killed - don't make it invincible)?
MalZen 9 Feb, 2012 @ 4:35am
It is telling me I lack the necessary Items. The Greater Soul Gem is shaded out but I have both Empty and Filled Greater Soul Gems. Aside from that issue I was thinking it would be swell if you added variations to the Item list used to forge the Sphere Guardian. Like some scrap metal, or another with Struts. The more of the other items you need you can use lesser soul gems?
Teratus 9 Feb, 2012 @ 1:45am
Would it be possible to make it a Follower instead of a summon spell?

but make it so that it can only be crafted once unless it is destroyed

I dunno I really like this idea :) perhaps when i get familier with the CK i'll give it a try myself :)
Misaki (Takkori) 9 Feb, 2012 @ 12:42am
So its sought of like summoning a pet like with conjuration but its mechanical and uses smithing, thats a pretty decent idea you have right there, especially having to craft it.
