Nice chamber thanks!

This workshop map is an abhorrent affront to god and should be cast deep into the bowels of hell. I cried while playing it because of its terrifying main mechanic which caused me emotional and physical pain to engage with.

10/10 I will be playing it again

Tough for me, but I liked it. Great level. :steamhappy:

Clever and fun. Thank you.

i like the map. it is fun.

By far the first puzzle I notice that intensively uses the grabbing range of the portal gun. So extensively, the last one puzzled me quite a bit but overall wow.

that was really fun! very creative idea :)

The second room was a little tedious because I kept looking down to check my footing, then re-grabbing the cube. However, I still mostly liked this level.
Asalis 27 May, 2019 @ 6:39am
OK I was having fun with this map right up until I had to use a light bridge to tediously nudge a cube into the right spot that I needed. That literally stopped my fun and turned it into something that only succeeded in frustrating me to the point I just said to hell with your puzzle and skipped to the next one.

It must have been quite exiting back in 2012 when stuff like this was new. OK, it's not new now, but I still had fun.

New idea thank you. Nice map!

Very cool puzzles you came up with this mechanic. I really enjoyed!

Good things come in small packages and this is one of them.....good job.

I destroy the cube in the last room, by the door, make a cube respawner! Nice one
iTried 4 Jan, 2018 @ 5:48am
Very good. Only sometimes the cube is hard to move and slides back. Other than that very nice concept.
Sophronius 31 Dec, 2017 @ 2:16pm
nice concept, alot of thought went into your map I could tell, nice job. :o)
d'Artagnan 6 Nov, 2017 @ 8:57am
Way cool concept! A couple small bugs, like losing the cube in the corner and not being able to get it again. But that's why I save often!

Nice chamber. i like how its difficulty grew gradually.

creative and fun but too easy

apparently the portal gun is also a gravity gun

Nice different approach, and you provide training at the beginning for the line of thinking.

very interesting concept

This is a very well made level, using different and inventive ways to create a challenging yet simple testing chamber. I must say that this is one of my favorite community levels by far. Great work!
z34chris 13 Dec, 2015 @ 8:38am
perfect use of all testing elements including cleansing gel :)

A tip to make it easier to do the second chamber (the one with the toxic water: You don't have to keep looking up .

Nice idea, but i found puzles hardly challanging.

Whats the point of the light bridge in the 2nd last chamber? Didnt need to use it
GreenLinzerd 26 Dec, 2014 @ 3:35pm
Fine, fine. It just caused me a lot of frustration. And it could have been made a bit clearer.
Dr. Worm  [author] 26 Dec, 2014 @ 2:34pm
Take it easy, man, I'm just joking around. The intention was always to use the light bridge to grab the cube as it's bouncing around in its main cage, then travel through the "tube" section, but unfortunately it sometimes bounces straight through it. I've seen it go straight through and land on the button, something that probably happens more often than not. And not to be more patronizing, but please don't take it out on me because you didn't turn around to see a well-lit puzzle element at ground level.
GreenLinzerd 26 Dec, 2014 @ 2:08pm
Really. Hmm. Since the light bridge was tucked away in the corner like that and (as far as I remember) wasn't used in the puzzle up until that point, and since my attention was focused solely on the cube and getting it onto the button...

I didn't see that.

Now the title of that video? That's just rude. Why yes, I had, in fact, spent several mini-chambers using the technique of grabbing the cube through metal grids. As a matter of fact, I had also seen it done in two or three other chambers before. HOWEVER, IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO GRAB THE CUBE UNLESS YOU ARE RIGHT NEXT TO IT, WHICH I CLEARLY STATED TO BE THE PROBLEM I HAD BEEN HAVING.

Man, don't you just love it when you tell somebody you need help and they're rude and patronising?
Dr. Worm  [author] 24 Dec, 2014 @ 8:54am
Or you could do this http://youtu.be/dLwmN6_epZA

For some reason, screenshots weren't working, but I made a crude recreation of it (see the link above.)

Now I'll just run through it: the elements involved are the blue-painted cube (highlighted in blue), the gate (highlighted in purple) and the falling water (white/grey). When the gate was opened, the cube bounced through the opening along the yellow path, losing its gel coating at the yellow circle, and subsequently coming to rest at the red X.

At this point, the cube was impossible to move onto the button below; there was no way to reach it manually, no way to spray gel on it to get it moving again, and no way to destroy it and replace it with a new one.

The problem could be resolved by making the floor underneath the X solid; this would allow Repulsion Gel to be placed there and allow the player to bounce up and grab the cube, guiding it down to the button.
Dr. Worm  [author] 23 Dec, 2014 @ 12:54pm
Did you take a screenshot? Or can you recreate what it was like?
GreenLinzerd 23 Dec, 2014 @ 12:09pm
The part with the blue-painted cube suffers from a game-breaking problem. Once the laser was activated and the gate open, the blue cube bounced straight through and then through the water, cleaning itself. The problem was that the cube was now sat right up by the ceiling, with no way to move it and no way to replace it with a new one. I suggest putting an actual floor under that spot so Repulsion Gel can be placed there and the cube reached.

I can't believe people are still playing this map
