The problem can be that some sound from JSRS can be overwriten if you load ES last, or the other way around if you load JSRS last.. it is the last loaded sound mod that replaces the sounds ingame.

I think i should also mention this while got the chance the old ports comments had complaints of stuff being very loud so if something is too quiet or loud for the game(saying audio works a lil dif in it)is it fine if i edit the sound to lower or raise the volume for it?

That would be all I’m doing. I’m fine if its a no. Also i apologize that I’m clogging up the comments this will be the last post and the last thing i need to know and i’ll be off.

yes only Compat patches. It should ONLY be on nexus as that is my playground and I'll try to make sure it stays that way and it stays there. As i said i get it I would feel the same way about it too.

You mean compat patches for other mods to use JSRS sounds? No problem really. I do the same with the AiO, I don't see why others shouldn't be allowed. I just don't want my soundsfiles to taken and shared across other plattforms. There is a lot of time and money invested in source material and I am already invested far too deep into this anyways, I don't think I should just give stuff away like that.

@LordJarhead Oh I almost forgot Would it be fine if people make patches to add the sounds to their weapon mods from the port mod? Ik dumb question I'm still getting used to this whole thing and i just want to have this covered.

The older JSRS Soundmod, yes. The newer 2025 version not, I don't want this to be ripped across other games again. Thank you.

Is it ok If i made a port of this or the new one for fallout 4? while there is a old one the user that maintained it deleted their account and you can't really do anything with it. Its stuck in limbo so to speak so Would that be fine with you? it be on your rules.

this is literally the only way have sound in arma3 on my machine. (i really tried every tutorial, from checking all mixers, levels for applications, stopping teamspeak, teams, skype, discord etc before starting steam. disabling any audio enhancement, disabling all audio cards/drivers but a single one (tested multiple), limiting sample rates on audio interfaces,, (non) exclusive access for applications, running with administrative rights, running in "previous windows mode", installing direct-x audio sdk, different NET runtime revision, uninstalling arma3, clearing profiles, removing steam completely from PC, installing on a different user.. btw: arma reforger worked fine all the time.
So thank you again for this mod!

@Ace absolute nonsense! This might have happened because of some old incorrect class inheritance, but certainly not in purpose. So stop spreading just blatant lies. If I'd had the time, I would love to update this, but lately I can't seem to find any room for it.

Yeah, because the mod author did not only change sounds. He changed some things to suit his own gameplay style because he could. That's why JSRS makes a dependency when you edit missions using it.

And I think that's incredibly dishonest, which is why I've stopped using JSRS. Make a different mod if you want your stupid Chinese gun to have laser accuracy.

Appears to work in combination with Enhanced Soundscape, but doesn't reverb/reflect every single shot/explosion.
Difficult to quantify during action.

I found a bug with RHS RPK series, when i load JSRS, ths RHS's RPKs and dependency mod's RPK will have Mag problem. They cannot read the default RPK magazines and instead use PK series magazines.

@Max1. Been trying to figure out what the most realistic combo is for a while. I eventually settled on what I settled on. Not sure if it's entirely realistic, but it's the best that I could tell. Admittedly, I never tried Dynasound. I just like how enhanced soundscape sounds when there is a firefight in the distance.
