is there a way I can modify this (or the industrial era mod) to either allow entering the industrial era with only a few specific techs, or limiting certain techs from the industrial version? I really love the military aspect of this era but want to get the industrial era version of the world congress plus the non-military techs of industrial

I dont know about Vox populi, all my mods are compatible together but can be incompatible with mods from other modders.

If the mod you talk about touch any of the feature mentionned in this mod, there is a chance that there is a conflict. If thats the case, the mod that is loaded last will overwrite the code with his own, potentially affecting the effect or breaking it.

Multiple AI using Gatling Gun (Inudstrial Era) Doesn't seem to go any further than that though.
Great mod! Any possibility of getting this on multiplayer?

Yes! it does requires at least god and kings expansion as stated in the mod description :)

Glad it worked! Both expansion are great additions so its a good buy in my opinion

Actually, I just bought all the DLC's and it turns out that made the difference, so it's all good. But thanks again for responding anyway!

Hi again BlouBlou and thanks for answering. I appreciate it! I did try and run it through the mod menu, but nothing happens. No error notices either though. It's as if it just doesn't register. I don't have any of the DLC's. Perhaps that's why it's struggling?

Hi Knask, one way to know is to look at the tech tree and you will see the technology locked like in the above screenshot, you know it at a glance. You cant schedule those research.

i suspect you start your game from the SINGLE PLAYER menu intead of the MOD menu.
Start your game from the mod menu for a modded game or else it will start an unmodded single player game regardless of the mod you activated.

Hi! I've downloaded and activated the mod, no problem, but I am unsure if the mod has taken any effect. I can stil schedule say atomic technology, without there seeming to be any restrictions on that, other than that such and such technology has to be researched first. Is there any way to see if the mod is working in game or do you just know it when you get there?

Follow the step written in the troubleshooting section of the mod. It is probably a cache clearing problem.

unfortunatly, while part of the mods may work depending on where you are in your game, it will most likely not work until you start a fresh game with it!

This is amazing. I want to play with a few of the others, but the Renaissance is the one I wanted most. (ships of the line ftw!) This single mod has made the game much more enjoyable for me, and I thank you for it.

Make sure that when you load a game where you used mod, you load your game from the MOD menu and NOT the Single player menu.

I have a problem and maybe you have a fix or some advice. I'm playing in the Renaisance Era but don't know if this relates to m problem but when I save a game and then reload the restriction is gone and all of a sudden people can advance all the way to the atomic age again

Hey man is there any possible way you could make a mod similar to your no futuristic units mod except only for Musketmen, Lancers, and cannons? I use a bunch of mods to create a fantasy themed world and this Era mod works perfect except that I find the gunpowder units immersion breaking. If you could it would be much appreciated, thank you.

Yeah in very rare case when their troops are near a ennemy city they will capture it but the vanilla code prevent them from keeping it long.

I think there is a mod out there that give city states the right to keep cities like other civilization and other benefits. about trade route i cant be 100% sure about other mods and compatibility, you would have to try and see if it conflict.

Is there a compatible mod to add additional trade routes? 7 trade routes on a huge map with maximum City-States and AI civs is just not sufficient.

Turn 420, while fighting the Dutch; one of my allied City-States actually attacked and annexed a Dutch city. I was bombarding the city with ships while their troops attacked. It held it for 3-turns and then razed it. I've never seen a City-State do that before. I actually liked it and wished they had not razed their conquest. Made it seem more realistic if they had actually expanded and annexed a city.

It's only happened once in game, so a very minor impact; and frankly I could just delete the unit to solve the problem. Not like I have a deficit of troops at the moment. I'm really enjoying playing this mod, it has breathed new life into the game for me.

Both solution dont satisfy me so this isnt adressed yet. But since its not happening often and solutions are not satisfying. I began to see this behavior as acceptable, something like "a crazy invention from a local scientist"

You could also use the mod i made in the utility collection that allows you to chose your reward when you pick a ruin to bypass this situation.

Yes this mod collection is pretty stable and have been used for a while :)

About what you mention, it is a vanilla behavior that i didnt succeed to identify in the code that is available. One way would be to disable unit upgrade in ancient ruin but i always felt that was overkill and that you would lose a part of the ruin functionality for correcting a minor behavior.

Maybe i could change all of the Renaissance unit individually to make them upgrade themselves into the same type of unit they already have. But then you would pick up a ruin and get nothing if its a unit upgrade.

Otherwise, I am not experiencing any issues at the moment. I have 1 tech left to research, then we will see what happens. So far, this mod is exactly what I've been looking for. Cannons, muskets, and frigates. Thank you!

I have perhaps discovered an oversight. Late in game, exploring ruins with a lancer; it upgraded to an anti-tank gun. Granted, not something dramatic; but I report it nonetheless.

This mod keeps crashing when I'm about to enter the renaissance era. I use it in combination with lots of mods, mostly wonders, like the italian wonder pack.

Saves crash even before complety loading.

Anybody tips or similar experiences? I'm a novice modder on a macbook air and could use help!

This is such a great mod. I'm currently using it for a domination only, marathon game on a large map of real Europe as England (perfect for this with their Ships of the Line and Longbowmen) and at the stage now where the tech tree is gone, 5 civs of 15 remain and control vast swathes of the continent. Without the nonsense of some later tech units and nukes, working out how I'm going to take Rome for example is something I'm thinking about at work, lol.

One of my favorite mods. The only gripe I have is that the A.I. will use religious reformation bonuses that end up being useless.

This is about as close to what I want as possible. It is a good mod, I just wish the tech wasn't "rebalanced" to allow for espianage and museums, I just want literally nothing after the reinessance era.
I do love the AI limited to ancient/time apropriate era, it is a great touch.
