Naw, no way to load it in survival... textures are not great, but could be overlooked if it could be loaded.

Conveyor port is most likely at the buttom in the center.
Shortstock 10 Dec, 2017 @ 12:44pm
how do you load it in survival?
WieseAufmWald 12 Jun, 2017 @ 6:39am
That sounds quite good yes, but I think until you can feature it it should be viable in the first place. Or people will overlook it when it gets that feature because they always thought about it as a weapon they won't use.

It's more or less in limbo of being something that has a lot of work to make really good, and something that I'm kind of okay with where it is until I can make it really good.

I don't have much programming knowledge or background right now, but the end goal is proximity burst based flak projectiles, so it'll blow up if it even gets near someone.
WieseAufmWald 11 Jun, 2017 @ 7:24pm
@kris220b thats why I suggested increasing the caliber if the fire rate, accuracy etc. should stay the same. I just said this one is - for its caliber and how large the mount is - too slow firing and too inaccurate. I would even accept a smaller low-budget version. But a small gun on a giant mount, that doesn't even hit or fire often - somehow funny.

@WieseAufmWald

not at all. Please be sure to check out the weapon pack versions of these, as these will not continue to be updated with the main pack. I may mark as discontinued or just remove them, but development is continuing with the main pack.

@WieseAufmWald

I agree with accuracy and mussle velocity, but not the damage, 55mm eaven my mid to late WWII standards is rather small, you would not fire 55mm shells against a cruiser or battlecrusier during WWII, so why would you fire a 55mm AA gun against large grid ships with armor thats 25000mm thick?

This is an AA gun, it takes down fighters, not carriers.
WieseAufmWald 11 Jun, 2017 @ 1:20pm
Oh, and this should be constructive and if I took it too far somewhere I'm sorry. I like most of your weapons so far but this one seems quite underpowered, especially with this large modell.
WieseAufmWald 11 Jun, 2017 @ 1:18pm
In my opinion, to be useable it needs either
1) much better shell velocity and on-point accuracy to snipe from the supposed distance
2) more damage to be a threat to big ships (could as well make it a bigger caliber then)
or 3) a serious buff to its RoF and turnrate so you can be a threat to fighters at their effective range
Either way, I'd suggest if you follow 1) or 3) to make the modell a bit smaller to be more fitting. It's weird that it takes the space of your 250mm twin railgun which does better against bigger ships AND against fighters.
WieseAufmWald 11 Jun, 2017 @ 1:18pm
I can't seem to find this usefull. The gun is HUGE for it's caliber (Panzer III had 5cm guns and this thing is twice as large as them - while being stationary and unarmored!), and it has neither serious punch nor a good RoF. I mean, in WW2 we had 8,8cm Flak that could reload as fast if not faster, fast less bulky and was feared anywhere - this thing on the other hand may have 5km range, but the shell velocity is lacking for fighter hunting as well as the accuracy (most of the time it shoots quite a bit downward from the center point of aim), and it needs several shots to pierce a single block of light armor on a big ship. Oh, and the turn rate doesn't allow you to effectivly follow fighters at shorter distances.

Update coming maybe later today or tomorrow. Buffing 4x25mm AA gun rotation speeds for better tracking. Buffing 2x20mm PDC, adding new gun. Renamed some stuff for better continuity and ease of access in K menu.

@The Painted Target

Since weapons has been around before wheels, and only wheel based grids uses km/h, i would geuss that that unit is in m/s, just like any ship grid.
Which uhm, is stil aroujd mach 3.
Johnston-0557  [author] 20 May, 2017 @ 9:31am
@Shortstock Yes.

@kris220b

Actually the thing it's listed as is

<DesiredSpeed>1000</DesiredSpeed>

So whatever unit SE uses for speed, use 1000 of that. Misinterpreted the value.
Shortstock 20 May, 2017 @ 6:25am
can this be used in survival?
kris220b 19 May, 2017 @ 11:17pm
@The Painted Target

1 km/s, well i will be damned.
Speed of sound is ca 340 m/s, or ca 1200 km/h, and 1 km/h is around 3600, so 3 times the speed of sound.
For space engineers thats quite something.
Johnston-0557  [author] 19 May, 2017 @ 6:12pm
1. Yes. All conveyor ports are in the dead center of the bottom.

2. 1km/s

3. No small grid stuff *YET*
kris220b 19 May, 2017 @ 11:09am
A few quick questions.

1, is there a conveyor port on the buttom?
2, whats the muzzle velocity?
3, is there a small grid version?
ravenshield 9 May, 2017 @ 2:03pm
Looks awesome! However I am not able to put ammo inside the turret in survival mode. Any tips?
highflyinryan76 7 Apr, 2017 @ 7:55pm
would love to see a flak 88
Johnston-0557  [author] 7 Mar, 2017 @ 1:15pm
When the next set comes out I'm planning some larger calibre guns.
AlphaArc 7 Mar, 2017 @ 11:32am
i realy like this mod:Honored:, any chance that you will do a medium calibre gun? (76mm-150mm) the italian oto melara 76mm could be an inspiration
Johnston-0557  [author] 17 Feb, 2017 @ 12:50pm
If I start working on weapons, I will certainly put that into my prospective list.
WolfenRichtophen32 17 Feb, 2017 @ 11:25am
make the L39 Lahti? as a handheld weapon... for those who like the AT Rifles that look ridicolous, only the people who like the rifle will use it, and be the AT man of a group, against tanks of course... 20mm AP or HE?
Quantum23 8 Feb, 2017 @ 1:48pm
I agree with Commdrop with the negative however that makes the weapon much more favourable for planetary bases. My complaint would be that having an anti fighter turret taking up a 5x5 area does seem a bit large. Especially considering it's only putting 1 round down range. Maybe decreasing the size to 3x3 might be a bit more practical with possibly having a 5x5 version feature more barrels (kinda like the dual purpose secondaries on some battleships) Anyways great design and as always look foward to what great designs you can put out!
SkyTempo 8 Feb, 2017 @ 9:23am
Looks awesome!

The only complaint that I have is that it looks too much like a gun that is spicifically made to be mounted on the ground, when a lot of people will be putting them on ships.
