can you do it so NPC dont have the crazy dammage. i was just one shot with like arcana armour by a simple pirate

hello, this mod was working perfectly fine for a long time, but inexplicably has stopped working. the only mod i have that affects damage scaling is suppers combat overhaul, but i had it installed while Increased Damage was working. have you had any problems like this and if so, how can i fix it?

the damage multiplier is not roughly two, I've checked the files. It looks like tier 0 in vanilla is listed as 0.5, and in damage+ it's 5.0

from there on it scales by around +1.2 per level, where vanilla scales by adding 0.5 per level. I can't really recommend this mod alone for people who are using armor augments or have other ways (like tech) to increase their damage further, as endgame becomes a little too easy if you specialize into damage. With the author's permission I'll release my own version of the mod with toned down damage and differently scaled progression, to make early game still frantic, and keeping monster damage always at your level, but with increased health values the further up in tiers you go.

This mod is perfect. I literally have to use doors and blocks as cover to not get my head blown off

Also snipers and shotgunners are so terrifying now

Still worked as of 1.4 and finally it makes combat far less tedious (due to tanky wildlife and enemies in vanilla) and weapons feels like actual weapons now. As a tradeoff (and a nice one), you can tank far less damage early-game, so stock up on armors, weapons, medical items, and get good.

Not currently. I no longer have the files I was using to calculate D+ and I don't remember what the variables originally were. I'm working on a new version of D+, called Difficulty Overhaul, which should be released soon. If Starbound would stop fighting me, it would be more modular than D+ or NE.

i find the damage to be a tiny bit over the top for me even though i use D+, any option for a 1.2x multiplier for damage instead?

You could also use Alternative Armor Scale if you want, as it also has the damage cap change built in.

Yeah, I figured. the only mod that really helped was that "Enemies aren't stupid mod" but lately the maker got busy with real life and can't fix an issue that makes all random genned mobs suicide when they spot you. :< the humanoids would follow you through doors and around corners and not have that really dumb reaction time gap they have before shooting. :<

The issue is that the AI are complete morons whom have absolutely no sense of self preservation. Changing the AI is beyond the scope of Difficulty+, which only attempts to bring the player down in power (specifically, the player has relatividely less health).

Am I crazy in thinking I want humanoid enemies to deal slightly more damage while giving the player less damage so fire fights with enemies etc can go for longer as I stylishly zip around with blinks and dash slashes etc and switch between my 12 weapon slots and feel cool about it? They also need better AI, but thats not within your jurisdiction is it? :V
